1080ti Max 80% gpu usage at any settings
Playing the game with a 1080ti and the gpu is at 80% usage and low wattage cpu is at 17% and framerate hovering around 55. Any fix?

yea you wish. Just because you have never achieved anything.

try messing with the settings on the launcher? I don't know brother, might be something with older gpus. don't get me wrong, i love the 1080ti and it still kicks the asss of most 20 series and even entry level 30 series, but it is bound to fail here and there with newer titles. not saying it is the case, just that you should be aware of the possibility.

You say that, yet you're the one who feels the need to lie for clout because you've spent the entire thread being wrong.

Maybe if my CPU was slow as ♥♥♥♥, I may get lower Gpu utilization, but my single core performance is on par with the 5000 Ryzens (8086k at 5ghz). They kind of try to use the entire GPU if possible because thats what they need to draw those triangles. Could be async compute, not sure yet.

I have degree as a PC Software development Specialist. Thats the title. And have written programs in C++ and Unity. I have not purchased a prebuilt PC since the 1990s bullding my own. Your not going to run a newly released AAA game at 1440P 60 FPS high settings with a 7 year old PC....sorry. Upgrade.
Gonna need to see some papers on that one. don't believe for a second.

whatever..upgrade if you want better. That GPU was released in 2017.I am surprised you even get 55.

If you play at 1080p with medium settings, I'm sure he can achieve that.

Just change the settings or use the Nexus mod to fix the Async Compute problem for Pascal GPU's.

Also, for someone supposedly a Software Specialist, they should know that said software in the API department should be fully utilizing the GPU as much as it can. If it isn't means you programmed something wrong, like... hello? lol

Then why the ♥♥♥♥ you goin around spreading wrong information and jsut being useless when apparently you could be helpful. Fantastic, sir. And yeah 1080p or 1440p doesnt matter gpu is at 70-80% which i have never seen in my 360 games that i own. Even starfield it said it was 100% at least. There is definitely performance left on the table when I can run other DX12 games and use 300 watts on the gpu where this game sits at 170-200 watts, which again, is lower than the wattage used in starfield, which is spaghetti. So, yeah, I think this is somewhat of a bug. If you can't see that, then you must truly be lost.

GPUs don't run flat out..sorry to tell you. Not unless you set them on unlimited and your CPU can keep up. But keep on trying. I have tried to help. Upgrade if you want better. WIth that good by.

Disabling Async compute seems to have done the trick and the performance is what I more or less expected. Don't know what else in the game it would affect though if negative. They definitely should just have a setting to disable async compute in the launcher.

If you're not cpu bottlenecked and you don't have a framerate cap set that doesn't let them hit full load. They do.

By design.

And no. You didn't try to help. At all. You lied, vomited misinformation and postured when proven wrong.

I am not showing you any personnal info. You think I 'm a fool. I seriously do not care what you believe. He asked the question and I told him. YOU don't like it stuff it.

More they should auto detect pascal and older cards and automatically disable async compute. Maxwell (the 960 in the minimum)in particular was REALLY bad at async compute. The game knows what card you have. It's part of how it does auto detect for settings.

When you program a GPU in Cuda, the programmer sets the number of threads and blocks and all that ♥♥♥♥. You can also do this thing to scale your program to other cards based on the number of SMs and cores that it has. MY wattage is only 60% what it really should be which is a massive underutilization of the hardware and I would consider this a bug, even with async compute.

Glad the fix worked. Tiny bug, game should have seen and detected that you were on Pascal.

Enjoy and have a good time!
