HDR looking weirdly washed out and dark
Hey guys.

Got two very powerful pcs, one with amd gpu, one with nvidia, both connected to 4k 120hz screens. In both cases, I prefer to use HDR because reasons (amd gpu connected to a standard hdr screen, nvidia connected to a certified hdr400 screen), but the colors looks amazingly washed out and very dark. My Ps5 is connected to the same screen as the amd gpu, and GoT looks soooo much different color wise if i just switch between pc and console...
Played around with hdr luminance and paper white, but no dice, still looks bad. Turning off hdr on those screens make it look even worse (probably cause i calibrated their colors for hdr? Unsure)

Weirdly enough, on a crappy rtx3070 laptop and on my LegionGo handheld, both devices being non-hdr, the game looks so much more colorful and less pitch black dark (opening sequence, for example, with Yuna, through the houses, it was all black, couldnt see anything on the hdr screens).

Another friend with an hdr screen confirmed his looked very dark as well, but neither of us could find any way around it.

Do you guys have any advice, other than to wait for a potential patch that might fix it?

play it in borderless or windowed.

that's all you can currently do besides playing with the settings.

I'll give that a shot tomorrow morning, but I'm pretty sure it was it was default on borderless.
Nonetheless, I'll try, thank you :)
