If you buy the Xbox for PC version of a game you will also get the version for Xbox console version and vice versa. So it isn’t without precedent and Sony can do the same thing. It’s called Xbox play anywhere.

Buying a game is like buying a license (yes, because you don't actually own it, if a game is online only, you can lose your access whenever the game stop being supported)

You should have the right to download the game on any existing platform including an offline version for whatever game you pay for, anyone arguing against this is a corporation sucker arguing for making the game industry worse as a whole

Life isnt fair. You either pay what is asked or you replay your two other copies of the game. Sony upgraded for an extra charge between PS4 and 5 because it was the same store front. Steam is in no way the same store front to Sony.
