HDR must be broken...
AW3423DWF user here, I've tried almost everything I know of but no matter what I do, HDR just looks inferior / broken compared to just running the game in SDR with the Game 1 monitor preset. I might be missing something, so If anyone has a similar monitor / knows of a fix, I'm all ears.

Do you have the windows auto hdr on? Not sure about this game, but in others it can mess with the in game hdr. You can find the setting if you search for it in the task bar.

Turn it off if its on

Yeah it was disabled, I even tried playing around with the monitor's console mode setting and source tone mapping etc (although this was fixed a few firmware patches back when it comes to HDR) I figured I'd give it a go as this game could be an edge case, but no luck.

Broken how? Is it too dark? It's the same on console apparently. Just up the brightness to 70% +.
I'm on 100% and it's perfect for me because I just simply gave up on changing the brightness every time I don't see anything.

If it's anything else besides the darkness, Sorry, can't help.

Colours generally just feel washed out (this might a personal preference of maybe just preferring something a bit more vivid), the blacks are also completely crushed (upping the brightness felt as if the entire image was being brightened instead of just the shadows).

The HDR aspect is a small part of the game, so I think I'll play around with the settings a bit more, and if nothing "works" I'll play it with the SDR config I outlined, it's a stunning game either way.

Thanks for replying to the post, I appreciate it.
