What if you leave a mongrol to suffer?

You could end the suffering of a pitiful mongrol footsoldier. I wonder tho if they die eventually if you don't end their suffering? Would like to know anyones thoughts, theories or answers

i'm assuming if you played red dead redemption 2 when you shoot someone critical in rdr2 they bleed out and die i'm assuming that'd happen too in Ghost of Tsushima and i haven't tested myself but i've played a sucker punch game before so i think since ur samurai its honorable to end their suffering tho the mongolians meant harm or whatever cuz infamous had like a karma system like rdr does that's my take any who.
