Why is this "Very Positive" right now?
We've got people who can't launch the game.

We've got massive frame dips that no one can find a cause or definitive workaround for.

The PSN overlay causes problems.

Framegen is buggy for many.

Random crashes and black screens.

Reflex not working for some.

Legends Mode already has hackers AND pirates can play in it for free.

Matchmaking in Legends is inconsistent at best.

Stand off Input randomly doesn't work for many keyboard users.

And some how it's still "Very Positive", when most games would have been at "Positive" or "Mixed" with all of these issues.

And that doesn't even get into opinions like the combat that feels like ps3 games (dead ass feels like old Assassin's Creed) or how you can travel for over 90 seconds and not see another thing with a heartbeat because there's just open space for the sake of open space, or how the story does nothing new. The opinion stuff is subjective sure, but the issues are not.

I don't get why this game gets a pass when most do not.

Edit:
Why do the people not having issues think I am asking them to leave a bad review?
I'm talking about the people having issues not leaving any review at all.
It's weird for any of you to assume that I am asking people without issues to leave reviews about issues.

I know exactly what you mean. I left a negative review because I've experienced a ton of crashes and some galaxy brain gave me a jester emoji. Game is obviously not optimized enough for a wider variety of builds.

It's really fun and I haven't had any bugs except for when I first launched but it was easily fixed.

Dude it's not even optimized for good main stream builds.

I've seen everything from 1660s to 4090s having issues, all with good processors and more than adequate RAM. And for some the issues start after 20 minutes and for others it's over 6 hours, and they all have the exact same issue. (in the case I am referring to; there's lots of other issues too that aren't so sporadic with their time)

My assumption is.

If a game is generaly good and the bugs are not gamebreaking they will still do a positive review.

There are bugs that if occure isolated won't make a good experience bad.
For example problems with HDR, Frame-Gen, Reflex, Matchmaking, etc.

BUT
If the game crashes all the time then it'll probably be negative. If you have proper hardware and get below 60fps constantly then probably too.
There might even be a few who give a bad review solely based on the standoff bug.

This is why I think the qualitative analysis of this situation is far more important than the quantitative.

I'm having HDR issues (actually, had to turn it off) and Standoff bugs out 20-30% of the time. But despite those problems this game is way to much fun and to beautiful to give it a bad review. Atleast for me.

Most people don't experience gamebreaking or constant game interrupting bugs.
The rest who does experience bugs or game features not working can still appreciate the game even without those features.

This is literally the biggest issue everyone is having.
It's going to keep happening and it's going to get worse.
We have dozens, if not hundreds of accounts of such now.

If that's "running beautifully" to you, I mean hey do you, but many wouldn't agree.

But if you do feel that way, why did you reply?
The last paragraph clearly states I was asking this of the people with issues. You still felt the need to reply when I basically said I wasn't asking you? I'm curious why that is.
What compelled you?

the keywords of "with the exception of.."

Might want to get those reading comprehension skills up.

With the exception of 1 crash at the intro due to me trying to test what my system could handle and it didnt due to a gpu hang crash that told me to lower some settings, and some lag when i left the game running when i went to get something to drink which needed a reboot, it runs beautifully.

An exception becuase i cranked the graphics higher than my system could handle and a hiccup. KEYWORD... EXCEPTION... otherwise, implication being, I have no issues.

I haven't reviewed the game yet but if I did it would be a great review. Performance is great, no crashes or freezes, and the gameplay is awesome. Why would I leave a negative review. The review has to be based on the user's experience and overall it would seem users are enjoying the game and having good enough performance.

People who complain are louder, so you might think the problems of a small group are problems that the majority faces, when actually the opposite is true.

I'm using i7 8700K, 32GB DDR4, RTX3080 the games doesn't run perfect for me at high settings, getting FPS drops here and there and got stuck at 30 fps at one area.

The game runs really bad without V-sync.

This is a PS4 game, so I'd say people got the rights to complain, the game is poorly optimized and graphics aren't that good to actually justify the perfomance issues.

Other than that, I think the game is alright and I hope they improve performance over time.

Because the overwhelming majority are NOT having issues but playing just fine.

That's why you look at usernames and pictures and keep a rough tally in your head. I've seen the white knights repeat more posts than any of the people with issues.

I can show you tons of threads where the majority of comments are the same 3 people saying essentially "the game runs fine, fix your ♥♥♥♥" but reworded over and over.
Just look at the post history of reply 103 in this thread for example.

Or all the people in this thread that felt the need to say they weren't having issues even though I basically said they do not need to comment.

Like i know typically the complainers are the loudest, but we don't see the same ones over and over again here,as would usually be the case. (hell many times people ONLY come to these boards to complain)

I'd say a forum is meant for people who want to complain while most people who aren't having problems are usually busy playing. Aside from White Knights, as you said. But after playing for a bit, Steam asks you to leave a review. So there's a call to action for reviews, but not for visiting the forums.

The combat works for me, but I just wish there was more of it. For an invasion that is supposed to be happening, I'm not seeing a whole lot of people invading. All that open field with nothing to fight for half an hour when traveling gets boring real quick. I hate the Ubisoft Collection garbage. I don't want to follow a cute fox everywhere just to be able to unlock more slots because it is boring. Collecting flowers to unlock skins is boring. Having to push buttons like I'm entering a cheat code to cut some bamboo sticks just to increase my hp is boring.

The Haiku is at least visually pleasing and soothing as an activity, but stuff like collecting flags of clans I dont know the history of is boring. The optional content should be mostly combat focused to be entertaining because collecting is not.

Just because your open world looks good does not make it fun. Nobody should follow Ubisoft's open world model ever.

I honestly kinda forgot Steam has that CTA, I don't exactly notice it very often and I wonder if others are the same, but your pointing out it's presence is legit a good point

Yea you kinda hit the nail on the head with what I was referring to when I said you can travel for over 90 seconds and not see another heartbeat, be it human or bird or fox.

There's a ton of space that does nothing but to serve as space for random encounters that don't spawn enough to hide all the empty space.
