This is a very common issue in games and one of the reasons why I can never play on consoles. I've posted about this here on Steam as well. You can use Steam Input mode shifts/action layers as a workaround in the meantime.
If you have the time, maybe send a ticket about separate aiming inversion to the following as well:
- Bandai Namco EU support[service-en.bandainamcoent.eu] and request it for Elden Ring in time for the DLC. You have to use the EU site if you're in Europe. The US site is found here[support.bandainamcoent.com]. An account is required for both sites. Choose "Products" > "Game Technical Support" as the category on the EU site (it's a bug since the setting affects something other than what the name implies). On the US site, choose "Gameplay Related".
- Focus Entertainment support for accessibility[support.focus-entmt.com] and request it for Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. You have to follow the steps there and answer those questions. Just choose "Accessibility" > "Controls & Camera" as the category. No account required.
- Granblue Fantasy Relink support[relink.granbluefantasy.jp]. You just type it and send it there. No account required. It might be better to use the proper support form here[relink.granbluefantasy.jp] and choose "Suggestions/Feedback" as the category.
There are a lot more, but those could possibly get updates. I've also asked about this for Horizon Forbidden West (here[www.playstation.com]), but nothing has come out of it. I chose "Core Mechanics" > "Controls" as the category there.Us inverted camera players have also tried to get X-axis inversion and X/Y-axis inversion for aiming added to Alan Wake 2, but in vain. Read about our efforts here (I'm LA-sk on Reddit). You need an Epic account to send a support ticket, which is done here[www.epicgames.com]. I chose the category "Other" as nothing else really fits.
