HDR only works when it's on windowed mode.

For some reason, the HDR in this game doesn't work whenever I try to set the game to Fullscreen or Exclusive Fullscreen mode. It only works whenever I'm in windowed mode.
I've disabled AutoHDR and tried to use Special K to no avail. With SK, the moment I try to set the game to Borderless Fullscreen, the HDR just doesn't work anymore and goes back to using SDR. Has this happened to someone else?
Specs:
Ryzen 7 2700
Rx 6600 XT
16 GB RAM 3200 MHz

Maybe windows 10 doesn't manage very well the playstation overlay. I don't have any other PS game on PC that runs that overlay to compare. I've got Helldivers 2 and God of War, but no PS overlay as far as I can tell, and the HDR is just perfect on those 2 games.
A bit weird but the HDR still works on Ghost of Tsushima even if it's not as perfect as it is on every other games.
I'll change my rig by the end oh the year with some of those new intel ultra 200 CPU and nvidia RTX 5XX. I'll switch for windows 11, and start another run with Sakai sama with I hope full HDR.

Someone please ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ help. I’m using a 4080 with a 4k HDR monitor. HDR only works when pressing win key or changing volume. Anything that pops up over the game changes it. I tried using NVIDIA’s HDR setting but that doesn’t even appear for me in game filters for some odd reason. Can’t figure out that issue either. I just want this ♥♥♥♥ to work properly.

I tried the borderless windowed gaming but my taskbar still shows and that’s annoying as hell. PLEASE HELP

Are you sure that HDR doesn't work at all ?
If you toogle off the HDR in game settings isn't it even worse ?
That's the case for me, HDR isn't as bright as when pressiong winkey, but it's still brighter than SDR.

I ended up playing it on windowed mode while I wait for a fix because the game's colors look horrible whenever I play in fullscreen mode with HDR not working.

Win 10 has trash abomination of HDR. On win 11 they fixed it and everything is working correctly. Ofc u need true HDR monitor not the fake one like 99% on the market

I have 2. Standard IPS that is cheap with fake HDR option and true HDR oled. HDR was the reason why I switched to win 11 cuz almost on every game it looked like ♥♥♥♥ on win 10. On win 11 thx to auto HDR option some games that doesn't support HDR are working in it
