cant run? keyboard input messing up controller? i dont even know how to describe this glitch.

so i played like 6 hours yesterday, no problems. i boot up the game today, and i cant run with my xbox controller? it was stuttering, starting to run then stopping on horseback and on foot. i could run perfectly fine with my keyboard. i then go to reload the game, and in the options menu the selection is constantly going up.

i thought maybe i had a sticky key or something wrong with my hardware, but i turn off my mouse and unplug my keyboard and its still doing it. tapping the d-pad in options doesnt have the same fluid selection as holding the analog stick. my cursor was popping up in the title screen with this glitch too, detecting a keyboard input. my keyboard and mouse are both unplugged! no clue what to do.

Yup, after 10 hours I have started to get the same issue. I know there is some kind of interference as when I tried to purchase something using the game-pad, at 90% of the purchase it flipped to keyboard space bar icon and then reset the input. Doesn't help if I unplug the keyboard and mouse.

Any luck? Because I am having the exact same issue and I genuinely don't understand how or why and it genuinely sucks that this is ruining my experience with the game

So it was a while ago so my memory may deceive me but I think i reset my settings, closed the game, and restarted my pc and it fixed it, if that doesnt work then a reinstall may be the only solution.
