Frame generation is BROKEN in this game.
As the title suggests: Frame generation is broken in this game.
For dlss frame gen: you can see the text get distorted as if its being generated, tried putting in dll files for 3.7 but nah it's a game issue.
For Amd frame gen: it causes crashing and freezing, in addition, when standing still sometimes ghosting is veryyy apparent.
Please release a hot fix nixxes, and keep up the great work!
Can't wait for infamous, demon souls, and GOW: Ragnarok!

I have no idea what you are talking about. The game looks and runs fine for me. I'm using DLSS (quality) and Nvidia frame gen.

look at the corner where the objective is shown and turn around quickly and see how much it glitches :)

the issue is more apparent if you overlap the sun/moon.

Two crashes here, FSR and DLSS are very unstable. Framegen works great, but upscaling is completely borked.

What boils my blood is the fact with DLSS/FSR on with framegen, it's super smooth, like, performance is 100% perfect now, but wham! suddenly a CTD because of course it is. I suspect a memory leak, happened after about 35 min DLSS on.

dlss off/DLAA and framegen on @ 2140p runs buttery smooth like fresh butter on buttered toast bread

Yeah, it's mostly smooth for me with just Framegen, but DLSS is completely jacked up until Nixxes bothers to patch it.

I have a laptop with a 4060. The game itself works well and the performance boost with NV frame gen is very good, but in cut scenes two ghost frames start rolling across the screen (when the screen becomes 16:10). So I’m ready to put up with it, the main thing is that the game works well, but... it’s strange.

I really hope there's a patch coming that'll fix DLSS/FSR upscaling because again, with it on, my performance is perfect; 1440p 120 fps, very crisp, but alas, random crashing.

Have you used frame gen before? Cause what you described are extremely common issues with every iteration of frame gen. It does not know what to do with floating text and UI, and often has artifacts around them. It's like this in every game that has it.

@Jarrod yes Jarrod, that is why i bought a 40 series rtx card, and no the devs can have the text be separate from the game render frames.
Please don't excuse incompetence with it is what it is.

the NVIDIA frame gen is smooth but my issue is with the UI/HUD being frame generated as well.
FSR 3 frame gen doesn't have this particular issue.

I've tried like 10 different games with frame gen and every single one of them have had this issue. It's just something you need to get used to, instead of blaming the devs for it.

OP is right, there's def a bug causing the interface to flicker with DLSS on.
Brüzur May 20, 2024 @ 9:03pm
This is something I'm extremely sensitive to, and is usually why I opt out of the use of Frame Generation altogether...

I cannot stand the artifacts that occur around HUD elements or UI text. Frankly, I wish this was something I could unsee.

I literally only have 3-4 games that work well with frame generation. no artifacts.
CB2077/Dying Light 2/Witchfire (im not sure it works well but it works.sort of)/Hitman WOA. Nfs Unbound - broken. Atomic Heart - broken. after it ON i literally cant launch the game. need 2 change setting manually. So...

As practice shows, for laptop GPU's, people apparently think that optimizing frame generation is not necessary. The main thing is that it works on 4090 and don’t care about the rest)) lol
