Autosave not working

lost 1 hour progress into the story and i can't manual save also when trying to manual save it says Error "save operations could not be completed". Anyone facing the same issue?

Also when starting up the game it will freeze in a black screen and not load.

EDIT: I managed to solved the issues and here's how. Go to windows security -> Virus & threat protection -> click on manage settings under virus & threat protection settings -> scroll down to Controlled folder access -> click on Manage controlled folder access -> turn off/ un-check Controlled folder access -> Restart your pc.

I enabled controlled folder access because I was facing and issue where the game would stuck in a black screen when launch - and here's how I solved this other issues

Launch the game -> go to options -> under Display settings turn off frame generation. It seems there is a problem with AMD FSR.

same here i cant find a solutions, besides it sometimes fixes itself but its not anymore and i loss alot of prgress.

apparently turning off steam and geforce overlay fixes this, didnt for me but worth a try
i found the soultion you have to GO TO WINDOWS SECURITY > VIRUS AND THREAT PROTECTION > RAMSONWARE PROTECTION > MANAGE RAMSONWARE SETTINGS > HERE YOU MUST REMOVE THE CHECK FROM CONTROLLED FOLDER ACCESS

Strange, no issues either for autosave and always do a manual save before exiting - so far all good.

Ah mannnn Thanks a lot!
The controlled folder access was the thing.

I didn't have to restart my computer though.
Once I turned this off (or let the .exe go through) the autosave started again and I could manually save too

This is ture tho windows blocks the videos folder from the game just go to history folder blockage and allow it

I fixed it without having to do any of what anyone else had said because I didn’t wanna have controlled folder access turned off because that’s dangerous

I went to Windows security virus, and threat protection , controlled folder access

Then I clicked on protected folders I clicked yes on the popup , then I clicked add a protected folder then I clicked recent blocked history. I think that’s how it was worded, but basically you wanna look at the most recent things it was blocked.

Here like four or five down, I found ghost of Tsushima. I clicked on it and clicked allow, and then it disappeared from the block history and now my game saves fine and I didn’t have to turn off controlled folder access like he had said.

And I also did not have to mess with anything else so if anybody has this problem, that’s all you have to do

same here dude lost 4 hours because my antivirus was blocking the folder from edits lol

maybe try verify your game file on steam, it happened to me once, and i could not play in legendary mode (multiplayer)
