Dualsense features are not working
Like this HD Rumble, for example when you cross a wooden bridge with horse - nothing at all

They only work if the dualsense is wired.

make sure you have steam input off. i am getting all the dualsense features including gamepad audio...

and make sure you have the dualsense wired, as they don't work when wireless...

Only the triggers work over bluetooth, you'll get basic rumble. If you plug in you'll get haptics too. Haptics at this time do not support wireless.

Edit: steam should do it for you, but make sure steam input is disabled for sushi. You should always disable steam input for games with native dualsense support if you want to use a dualsense.

Yes i have it all exactly as you said. Still no actual dualsense features. It even shows the Dualsense as picture ingame in the settings.
Maybe the game doesn't think it's a real Dualsense, because i deactivated it's speaker? But if i activate it again, the game gets way quieter somehow. Maybe because it translates the Dualsense speaker signal into a PC speaker signal? That's really weird. And as soon as i switch back to keyboard, the sounds and music get loud again. Playstation Controller makes the games volume -50%

Don't disable the speaker, your haptics WILL NOT work if you use the controller wired.

Just set your default audio device in windows. Did you make sure that steam input is off for ghost?

Yea steam overwrite is off. Still, as soon as i touch the controller, the game gets like 50% quieter :/

Ok the Dualsense features are working after activating the Dualsense Speaker again.
And i think the game only gets quieter because i had set it to Surround, which usually is quieter than Stereo - but why would it randomly get louder when touching the keyboard
jamhamm May 17, 2024 @ 3:46pm
the quieter issue is a known bug sadly. i've been fighting with it. i've tried everything i care to. switched from usb to optical audio, tried different external dacs, tried internal sound...

the only fix is it enable steam input and lose dualsense features - then the audio stays at full volume.

but with all the full DS suite of features on, there is a bug that lowers volume by a considerable amount with any input from the controller.

it's been reported to the devs. so my guess is we'll get it fixed in a patch or two.

it's not a surround only thing - i tested that too... i tried every speaker config, i even plugged my receiver in and actually played in surround sound. the volume still jumps 5db+ with dualsense input vs kb/m

Okay thank you! I usually start fresh PC ports some weeks after release (hoping for big patches and fixes), but couldn't wait longer to play it on PC in sweet ultrawide. I think in that case i can manage to wait one or two weeks longer

you can turn the controller's speaker off in game, but not in windows - which is how I have it. I haven't noticed the volume issue myself tbh.

Did you notice any quality loss aside from the reduced volume? I mean i'm okay with reduced volume, if it's just that

Works fine for me. Getting a PS5 controller to work correctly in Steam with games that support PS5 controller features takes a google search or two to find out what to do.

I had this issue and can confirm I had the controller speaker disabled in windows. Enabling the speaker returned full haptics to the controller
