Why did they remove the dismemberment from the game?

I played the PS4 version and there was dismemberment in combat, but I've been playing for 7 hours and I haven't seen that, why did they censor that in the PC version? Or was there an error or bug?

It's exactly the same way as it was on PS4, nothing has been ''watered down greatly'' OP is just a schizo and you're enabling him.

I already have advanced strikes, the heavenly strike and I haven't seen ANY dismemberment. Almost 10 hours played and using the move more than once. But there are people insisting that there was no reduction in the game's gore in the PC version. But there was.

I'm only at the beginning, but arms are flying. At least with every 'stand off' encounter for sure

No, you're not just telling us what you experienced, you're also claiming the game was ''watered down greatly'' in terms of decapitation from the PS4 version which is just flat out wrong.

I agree with this. ⤴ Because I personally.-
(and yes, I realise its a Samurai game, with swords and the like,)
- would rather tone down, people being lopped in half, arms, legs, heads and gibs, flying all over the shop.

Like I do in Witcher TWH.

I dont mind some blood, and gore, but not being into "the whole horror genre" I prefer it more like Sekiro, Shadows of War, The Jedi games, Mad Max, etc. Where there is some gore, but not OTT.
Just my personal pref's.

So yes, they should allow the user to choose, to have it on full. or switch it off. or in between.

And I dont even know if switching it off / toning it down is in the options, as i don't own it yet.

there is an option to reduce gore / blood
but nothing specifically for dismemberment

i played the PS version of the game when it was 1st released, i can tell you right now the game didn't offer dismemberment until late game, when you take over a fort and Jin gets really pissed.

Dismemberment only happens when you trigger "Hachiman" aka special ability that you unlock very late game, which is also a "ghost stance" you pretty much chop everybody UP, after you unlock THAT "Ghost Stance" during its time limit you can dismember people.

You can also try and get dance of wrath and heavenly strike at the begining of the game tbh but you're 110% not gonna see dismemberment during act 1

I unlocked heavenly strike and used it but no arms were cutting cut off.
are you saying I need to reach that yarikawa part in order to start dismembering arms/heads? even with dance of wrath and heavenly strike?
