Why did they remove the dismemberment from the game?

I played the PS4 version and there was dismemberment in combat, but I've been playing for 7 hours and I haven't seen that, why did they censor that in the PC version? Or was there an error or bug?

Not sure how much dismemberment there is supposed to be, but I just Heavenly Striked one of the bigger Mongolians and he lost his arm afterwards.

The game has a lot of dismemberment, in common fights, when we challenge an enemy and strike. I didn't see any effects in 7 hours of play.

Dunno if there is a bug or they toned it down in the directors cut but I have quite some heads rolling around yesterday.

Dismemberment only occurs later on in the story, when you unlock a stance. Kind of a spoiler really

Strange, I didn't have any dismemberment scenes.

i played total 13hrs so far, not even one dismemberment.

i remember watching youtube videos back at console release, i think even blood has been toned down.

and when devs do that, i get real mad, im nearly 40years old man, lemme decide the amount of gore id like to expose myself to. they treating us like toddlers.

I played on PS4 a few years ago and I don't remember it. In fact, from what I remember, this is from the beginning. But I will go further to confirm this. Because in more than 7 hours of playing I didn't see anything.

Yes, I'm 42 years old and have been playing since the 80s of the last century. And I found it strange that they toned down the violence in the game.

Looks the same to me. Blood etc all flows as it does in the PS4 version. If you want more, there is a Ng+ charm for it.

In Brazil we don't have censorship of violence in games, the normal versions have always been released.

I just showed you the game on PS4 in that video lol. In comparison to what I've seen personally on the PC version, it's the same. Fun fact, he also used heavenly strike in the video and it didn't dismember. It happens (sometimes.) but it isn't going to happen in every fight.

You're just misremembering, it was toned down for the PS4 version too shortly before release, it was always tied to the heavenly strike ability mostly. You also have dance of wrath that triggers dismemberment.

Edit: it may also be tied to sword upgrades but I can't confirm untill I've progressed further
