What is the multiplayer?
Can someone summarize what the multiplayer includes, is it like coop missions or pve/pvp stuff? Also do we need to buy a PSN subscription each month in order to play it? I dont have consoles accounts

no psn + sub needed but it needs a psn account. Its 4 player horde mode, a 2 person campaign, 2v2 pvp mode and 3 destiny like 4 person raids.

Would you recommend that as for buying the game?

game is mainly campaign oriented but the mp is really fun. imo you should do campaign first because youll kind of be spoiling it by playing MP first and having access to all the skills and fantasy armor as your first exposure. mp isnt as sweaty as mp focused games like cod. but it is pretty good for a tacked on mode to a single player movie game. i wouldnt really buy the game for mp only.

also the pvp mode is not really pvp. its 2v2 competing with each other to kill mobs faster than each other.

Alright, thanks for the info, so if you play the MP your loot+skills will transfer to your main character in singleplayer or is it seperate?

no they are separate. you unlock sword techniques and items and stuff in sp but in mp you will just have access to them based on your loadout. there is no loot in sp other than ammo and upgrade mats. you just get cosmetics. you can carry some cosmetics from sp over to mp but not the other way around. mp has rpg style loot with stats and levels you get from finishing missions and you can level up classes but nothing like that in sp. you do gain xp and unlock skill points you use to get more abilities in sp though. you kill 5000000x more enemies in mp than sp. the combat system is really good and the mp basically lets it flex to its fullest. it is a good suppliment to the campaign but not totally viable on its own for a full priced game.

also it's worth noting that the campaign is like 95% non-fantasy with a little bit sprinkled in but mp is totally fantastical with demons and stuff and the armor in it is way more outlandish than in sp.

and actually the armor in sp is more than just cosmetic. they do provide different buffs and can be upgraded. they just aren't "loot drops." you get them from quests.

Legends Mode consists of an eight chapter side story arc which culminates in the three chapter raid, two being actual raid in which you are storming the big bad's realm and the third chapter being a lair where the big bad lurks.

Going down the list of activities and their max player count, you have story which is 2 player, survival which is 4 player, and Rivals which is 2v2 PvEvP in a similar vein to Destiny 2's Gambit. There is bronze, silver, and gold difficulties for all, which survival has platinum difficulty all to itself, that you may complete and earn gear from a max value of 5 to 35, 36 to 80, 81 to 105, and 106 to 110 gear score for each difficulty respectively, assuming you hit max gear score before moving on to the next difficulty. With exception to restrictions on specific pieces of equipment, specifically in the ranged category or if you bind equipment to a class which I will elaborate on later, all gear may be freely used between all classes so no one class is left behind. Longbows, bomb packs, and blowguns are restricted to the Hunter, Ronin, and Assassin classes respectively, barring any trait that allows said ranged weapon to be used by another class.

There are four classes in Legends: The Samurai, the Hunter, the Ronin, and the Assassin. You unlock one at the start and every eight level ups after on any class, you are allowed to unlock a new class. The Samurai focuses more on melee combat, the Hunter focuses on ranged, the Ronin is versatile and can adapt to many situations, and the Assassin focuses on killing priority targets quickly. All classes share the same core abilities you utilize in the single player campaign and mastering these basics will be crucial to excel on all classes regardless of your class's specialization.

The maximum gear score is 120 which can only be achieved by activating mastery challenges for a piece of equipment. However, doing so shall "soulbind" the equipment to that class and cannot be used by another class unless it is a specific ranged weapon type that has a trait that allows it to be used by other classes. For example, a longbow bound to a Hunter can only be used by all the other classes if it has the Versatile trait. These challenges can be bypassed by spending purified equipment tokens related to that slot from cursed items which you will only find once you hit 110 gear score and can only purify one cursed item at any given moment. These cursed items have their own challenges tied to them and can vary. For example, a cursed katana may prevent you from dealing a killing blow to enemies if you do not bow to them first and your challenge may be to kill ten enemies with the cursed katana. Further, once a piece of gear is 120 gear score, you may min max the equipment. Using the resources you've gained through your gameplay roll for the desired stats and traits you want out of your equipment which is shown on the right hand side of the screen, assuming you have already found that stat or trait through random drops or rolls. You will be able to improve the item's stats to max value, although be prepared to spend a lot of resources and use a lot of purified tokens to do so.

Legendary equipment exists and by default can only have one allowed to be equipped. This can change with two techniques you unlock either by leveling to eighteen with a class or activating an equipment mastery challenge on that class, for a maximum of three legendary items equipped. These legendary items can vastly change how a class plays and some desired legendaries only can drop for specific classes. For example, the Skipping Stone Bow is a legendary longbow and can only drop while you are playing a Hunter since she is the only class that may earn longbows.

PSN monthly membership is not required to play Ghost of Tsushima Legends mode while on PC and hopefully Sony has the good sense to not try and force the issue. You will have to make a PSN account in order to play Legends mode as it uses that system for cross client play. The game is available on Steam and Epic Game Store and PSN is the bridge between the two while work is done to make crossplay between PC and PS possible.
