To start with, you need to understand that different gaming communities have different people. Not everyone aware of what sony does in other games or care.

You are also not installing psn. You require psn for online play in mostly single player game, so people are more forgiving over it or again, simply don't care.

It's almost like the people freaking out and causing a scene were a vocal minority with no claws.

I think we have different understanding of what psn is. Like we are likely installing infrastructure to be able to use psn but not psn it self since that is on sony server side.

Though I would guess for some there is no difference.

You're installing sony's client for psn and their associated overlay. That's as close as you can get to installing psn.

It continues running as a process while the game is running even if you don't log in.

Not sure why you're trying to nitpick that hard.

You are right, kinda scummy, but expected anyway. We will see how hard is to get rid of this.

god, again privacy conversation? your gsm operator been collecting your data for years and selling your phone numbers like for 9cents to corporations. what privacy you talking about?

goverments sharing your health conditions after your each visit to hospital ,with insurance companies, so they can find you even more risky every year so they can increase your policy cost.

only way to be secure is to live unplugged, in a forest, no electricity, no goverment services.
even then CIA bois might get bored and use satellite for trolling you if you re unlucky.

yes im part of this system but im not concerned, i m not stupid enough to give real billing address nor to save credit card info. so its a slim risk for me. if that s what concerns you here. otherwise noone cares about our hardware info. or our dxdiag reports.

NEVER KEEP ANY KIND OF PERSONAL INFO ON PC. pen and paper, old skool, most secure.

Because the privacy argument is useless. Not shilling for Sony I find them to be as anticonsumer as Nintendo and other companies but there's worse actors handling your data daily and collecting more intimate data than a game like this is. ♥♥♥♥ my own government has my fingerprint and I've never committed a crime but I needed a clearance card for a job that's more important than hardware and data collected from a game. Facebook and google alone collect far more on everyone.
