be wary of frame gen on this game
for me frame gen seems to cause crashing for some reason the game works well on my 10900k and RTX 3080 with 32GB System RAM lol original edit said 32 VRAM with the game on Samsung 980 Pro SSD but the Frame Gen kept causing crashing. You also need to keep an eye on the VRAM usage.

uploading a benchmark as we speak

I'm assuming this is what's causing me to black screen after cutscenes. Gonna disable.

when i doing that training part it would literally crash as soon as it goes to another cutscene. turned off frame gen no issues since

also says on PCGamingWiki that Frame Gen can also cause it to crash when you try and exit the game you have to use task manager to end the process

AMD Framegen is indeed bugged ATM. DLSS FG is largely ok tho.
Uburrato May 16, 2024 @ 5:58pm
AMD and frame gen are both bugged, gotta restart the game for amd frame gen to work if you make the mistake of going from amd gen to nvidia frame gen i get like 1 fps lol

it seems they are using AMD,s Frame Gen which is why it works on older NVIDIA Cards like the 2000 series its similar to the one that was uploaded on the Github which you can use on any game that uses Frame Gen it doesnt seem to work properly here though i get about 80-100fps with it off so ill just leave it off for now with it on its an extra 40fps

When I use frame gen it also causes a bunch of black artifacts in certain scenes

Frame gen uses more VRAM.

OP why are you using framegen? Your pc is more than capable.

it feels smoother with it on wit it on im at 80-100fps on ultra settings 1440p with it ony im getting 40fps more

Put framegen on just to test and it completely blew up my game, reinstalling right now.

Before with all upscaling off (native 4k) and no frame gen i was 50-70 fps

frame gen on no upscaling 5 fps
frame gen on upscaling 10fps
setting was stuck on(?) after just trying it once even after restarting the game so I was just permenantly 5-10fps

rtx 4080
ryzen 9 7900x
32gb ram
ssd

Yeah, avoid FrameGen. I don't crashed using Frame Gen but my game for some reason refuse to close after I quit with it on, have to kill it from task manager.

Without framegen the framerates are generally around 100-150 ish. With framegen they remain above 150 easy. The absolute smoothness of 150fps+ vs 100 is VERY noticable.
