Hold button for STANDOFFs/DUELS doesnt work Randomly???

Sometimes when I hold the Y button when I want to Standoff/Duel with encounters, it just doesnt work, its like frozen and impossible to trigger the button. (Using Xbox One) Its just in this scenes, everything else is working perfectly.

Edit: The bug appears also with Keyboard binding....

Solution anyone?

I have this problem also, i think is just with the xbox controller.
they will need to fix that asap

Happens with my ps4 gamepad too

I can't use the Xbox Series controller or the keyboard either, and it's a problem because I can't progress through the story. =~=

This was an issue even on PS4 or PS5, i have no idea why this wasn't ever fixed:/
I played PC version only for couple of hours but already encountered this bug couple of times and the only "fix" is to just die and reload from save, at some point it fixes itself.

It has maybe worked 10% of the time for me, and yes it was also an issue on the PS5 when I originally played it. This is a horrible bug and almost makes the game unplayable for me.

No, it also happened on my PS4 controller

Advice from a PS5 player, who used to scratch head a lot for this particular issue.

Here's the tip. You have to hold a button after the button prompt appears on screen. And, for the important part, it gives you just ONE CHANCE to press and hold the button. If you accidentally (or purposefully) let go of the button, you're stuck with a standing still pose and won't be able to do anything.
