I don't like to game without utilizing upscaling tech, I can try running it without upscaling but I'll most likely get pretty low FPS without it. I doubt I'll get 60 FPS on medium settings with DLSS turned off? Maybe on 1080p resolution, but not 1440p. I really would rather play in 1440p because 1080p looked blurrier to me, but maybe that was the upscaling that was making it look that way, I'll have to test it out.
Please tell me you're joking. Starfield is unoptimised, horrendous mess that had a forum find out that the engine was fumbled on the CPU side.
Props for actually finding that post, and it's true that I COULDN'T get 60 FPS when Starfield first came out, as when I made that post, but I recently went back to it with the patches and everything and now I can get 60-100 FPS with upscaling and frame generation, honestly frame generation was a game changer for me in Starfield, so NOW I CAN get 60+ FPS, which is what I said in my original post directed at you. That post you found is from when the game launched on DAY ONE.
thats because your PC is a potato. an Alienware isnt a proper gaming PC just sounds like you got scammed and now buyers remorse lol
Look, I'll go test your theory. I'll go in-game right now, turn down the resolution to 1080p, turn off upscaling, and if looks like blurry smeared hot doo doo garbage and I don't get 60+ consistent FPS then you have to eat your shoe with a clown hat on.
Actually some custom computers are over six times that. These days it all depends on how much money you've got.
But going back to the premise of this thread. I do agree that requirements in order to play most games on PC these days are getting more demanding and you seem to need better parts then you should.
When you apart a PS5 the specs are not much better then most peoples computers but can play the games perfectly. Some people don't realise that's because they are built just to play games nothing else.
But do I agree that in order for us to max out all the graphics for certain games you have to pay three to four times more than the price of a PS5? Simple answer No.
It's a 2060 Super? I think I clarified that and mentioned it several times.
