AMD GPU Crash Fix

If you have an AMD GPU and are suffering constant crashing ensure you have FSR and Frame Generation turned off. I also had to downgrade to the previous driver version as there seems to be an issue with the Ghost of Tsushima "optimised" driver.

Same thing worked for me (at least it seems like, 2 hours session without crashes for now, ealier it crashed after 30min max). Reduced max frequency on my 6750XT from stock 2659MHz to 2550MHz. Probably lost like 1-2fps, but no crashes with lower freq.

24.5.1 driver is the culprit
24.4.1 ran the game smoothly with No hiccups whatsoever. After I installed 24.5.1 the game began to crash. Clean uninstall and reinstalled the 24.4.1 driver and it is back to its perfect self.

I'm undervolt too, no FSR / Frame et 24.4.1 and crashing after 15min ! I 'm waiting a fix to relaunch this beautiful game i'm so bored

Crash's no, freezing yup. Turned on the Ex-fullscreen option in the launcher and all the issues went away. Also this allows you to adjust or disable DRS and set your FSR mode.

mit dem Treiber 24.4.1 funktionierte das Spiel perfekt auf meiner Radeon RX 7800 XT. Also ja nicht den neuesten Treiber von AMD installiern.

I have RX 6700XT 12 GB RED DEVIL Playing it maxed 1440p 60 fps without FSR and i got 3 crasheds in 5 hours. Is it because of the driver?

Yea ok... what do you deliver pizzas? This is the only game to ever crash on me when all I hear are Nvidia issues. But go off kang...

Framegen does swell your VRAM usage by around 2-3GB. Depending on your res/textures this could be a huge factor. Why anyone is not rocking at least 16GB min at this point is beyond me... but YAY nvidia.

True, just had crash, but seems to happen less frequently (this was fist in an hour ...)

I have an Rx6650xt running on 24.5.1 and an AMD cpu ryzen 5 5600x . The game restarted my pc (once right now).
The game have some graphical glitches and it crashed frequently (well 2 times) until I decided to stop the stream and look for answers why the game crashing, found this thread.

Frame generation causes the game to freeze when I open the menu or when a cutscene begins. Otherwise it runs very well averaging around 90 to 100 fps on my gaming laptop

For me the game is unplayable right now. I am at Fort Kaneda at the Bridge. And the game crashes after 1-2min after a restart. Till that point i hadn't any problems. Used all the tipps here so far and can't get it running. 5600x - RX 7800 XT - 32 GB DDR 4 3600.

i9-12900K, RX 7900 XTX (Adrenalin 24.5.1 display driver - clean and fresh driver installation after using AMD Cleanup Utility & Display Driver Uninstaller), 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4-3600 CL14.

No game hangs/crashes, freezes, or stuttering in my case. Also, the game's FSR 3 scaling and FSR 3 Frame Generation implementations are stable and do not cause any problems for me.
