Running Radeon RX 580 GPU, Ryzen 5, 32 GB low settings and medium, hoping i wont have to wait for a patch, but more than likely will :(
HDR off
Any record software off
FSR off
Frame gen off
Rolling back drivers did nothing
Game is doing weird green flashing bug in first cutscene
If anyone knows anything about it please respond :/
That is neither a reasonable response nor a factually correct statement.
FSR and frame generation can benefit any platform, even if only to reduce the overall processing load by allowing to lower the resolution.
These forums are often full of big ♥♥♥♥ competition mentality, so suffice to say iI have a sufficiently strong 6800xt rig and am also encountering crashes in GoT which begin to look to me like FSR3, even as I have already turned frame generation off. Stable 60fps, GPU under 65 degrees, all other comparable titles running fine, this is the first time I have FSR3 turned on and only game that crashes.
Hi.
- Updated drivers to newest because of the pre-lauch GoT message suggesting to do so.
- Had both FSR3 and frame generation turned-on mostly out of curiosity.
- Frame generation is… bizarre. I get smooth 60fps without it and jittery 60fps that actually feels like 30fps with it, so not sure what to make of AMD's newest revelation.
- Game crashes in random places every now and then without any GPU strain, with and without frame generation turned on.
- I still have FSR3 turned on and did not yet roll the drivers back. Still got a crash.
Ideally I'd prefer that the expensive GPU I bought and the drivers they make for it just worked, instead of having to turn all of its features off and experiment with the drivers. I have better things to do. So, we'll see if they roll out fixes. Not a good first impression of FSR3 to be honest.
i turned on FSR3 without frame gen.
Anti-lag ON
image sharpening ON at 80%.
Hope it help for those who encounter crash.
NOTE: There is no point reverting to previous drivers as the problem continues.
AMD GPU FIX FSR3 FRAME GEN.
Is just disabling anti lag via amd drive, you can test activating it after being in the game , in the tests I did if you have loading shaders or in the menu you activate ANTI LAG it will crash and freeze, for some reason ANTI LAG is incompatible with FSR3 FRAME GEN in game regardless of the driver or config you use .
NVIDIA GPU FIX FSR 3 GEN FRAME GEN
Disable Reflex from Nvidia.
NOTE:Regarding the frametime and input lag of the game itself without these technologies activated I did not notice input lag but rather a frame time more Smoothly, the frame time is only bad in the exp menu, where this will not influence the game, As the problem is occurring in several VGA and all drivers, I believe that with a patch from the developer it should solve it and you can use AMD's ANTI LAG OR REFLEX NVIDIA when using FSR3 FRAME GEN.
I hope I have helped anyone who is going through this and wants to use FSR3 FRAME GEN which is well implemented without ghosting in the game or just for those who want to test it.
