AMD GPU Crash Fix

If you have an AMD GPU and are suffering constant crashing ensure you have FSR and Frame Generation turned off. I also had to downgrade to the previous driver version as there seems to be an issue with the Ghost of Tsushima "optimised" driver.

*Bump, reverting to old AMD drivers fixed my crashing it seems.

6800 xt just got a crash after 3.2 hours of playing. I had FSR 3 quality with frame gen on as well.

Having same issue on rx7800xt, eventually get through the instance and then crashes later on and the crashes there or there abouts. Solid 60+fps with no fsr or frame gen on. Gpu running as normal then just crashes

7800 xt crash with frame gen. Have tried several different settings and still a crash every time there are heavy GPU work load. Is there a work around?

Should I roll back the driver? But on a good note the game looks beautiful 😍

7800xt, eventually started crashing even after disabling fsr3 (never used frame gen).
Last time was when I got the bow (mutliple times).
I rolled back the driver for now, no crash so far.

Turning off frame generation & downgrading the AMD driver to 24.4.1 fixed all crashes for me.

Played 7 Hours on 7900 XTX with no issues, latest driver. FSR Nativ AA

Without those 2 the game doesnt run smooth.Without these I got 26 fps on low, with them turned on I run the game at 60 fps on high.

I talk about Rog Ally btw.I played it alot without any problem.

yeah i am getting crashes on my 7800xt (using latest driver) will try this.. hope it fixes. game looks amazing

Got also some repeated crashes with a 7800 XT. Game crashes while trying to cross the bridge at the castle prologue area.

Tried to lock fps, tried lowering settings. Neither worked.

turn off the frame generation the game run..no more error text appears for me

Just crashed again for me an hour after turning off both FSR 3 and frame gen.

Adding my 2 cents:

7900 XTX, 24.5.1 drivers, W11 23H2

Played for ~1 hour, played around with FSR3, XeSS, FSRAA, XeAA, FSR3 Frame Gen, downsampling. Ran perfectly fine. No problems, no crashes.
