Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR'S CUT

Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR'S CUT

SFX Volume cuts out
So randomly in combat and while sneaking around enemy territory, the SFX cuts out. I can hear the game music and Jin's breathing, but stabbing, slashing, enemy archers yelling, all forms of combat sounds are gone. It lasts a minute and then comes back as suddenly as it disappeared. Anyone else experienced this? Any fixes?

So, after some more testing, it seems to be tied to the focus. Even when deactivated, it doesn't reactivate the SFX sounds.

Can confirm it happens from time to time, the game just randomly loses SFXs and then gets it back after a while.

I think it may have something to do with NPCs tagging along, as for me it usually happens whenever an NPC is with Jin. Starts with footstep SFX cutting off and then other UI elements such as looting and such.

I've also been having sound issues, sometimes footsteps are silent along with the audio balance being weird, like the sound of hitting someone with a sword is 3x louder than other sounds.

I originally thought it was the focus, but it happens in the midst of combat. If not for the fact that I need to hear when archers yell to know when to dodge, I wouldn't mind as much.

i lose sound all together, cuts in and out all the time, and the cut scenes freeze but the audio carries on then video catches up, love this game but its unplayable for me rn

Seems to be a few issues with the audio, I haven't experienced this yet but I have had issues with dialogue having no sound, lips move but nothing comes out.

Only happened a couple of times so far thankfully, loading a save or restarting checkpoint fixes it.

So, I originally was using the headset mode, but after testing "Bookshelf Speakers," I haven't had the issue anymore. This leads me to think it's something to do with surround sound.

Had the issue and this seemed to fix it. I restarted the game as well.

I'm also experiencing this issue. More notably in the Iki Island areas, and during instances where there are lots of NPCs or when I'm fighting 1v1 with boss. It got to a point where no sound was playing in the cutscene after I beat the last boss of Iki Island, and the characters are just moving their mouths with no dialog/subtitles.
