INTRO and INFINITE LOADING SCREEN/FREEZE

I encountered no issues with the gameplay, experiencing zero stutters or crashes. However, upon launching the game, I occasionally encounter freezing at the Sony PlayStation intro. Also the loading screen sometimes getting stuck in an infinite loading loop. Is this bcs of FSR 3? Is anyone else having this problem, or is it just me?

I got the the cutscene where you get pushed off the bridge by Khan, just before my frames went from 140ish to 50ish and choppy ms frame timing. When I got pushed off the bridge it went to load and its been frozen on black screen for about 5 minutes now so ill just reboot i guess. Before the cutscene and loading; my frames being at 50ish was also telling me my CPU was at 100% usage, which I feel like is hard to do to my i9 14900k with 24 cores lol

I got stuck at an infinite loading screen in the beginning after the game tells you to press A for Jin to get up.

Let me ask you a question, by any chance did you enable FSR3 the first time you launched the game, via its launcher and then removed the flag so it would not be displayed the next time you launched the game? If that's the case, enter this string -launcher in the game's properties on Steam and the launcher will be displayed again...
I had the same issue and solved it this way.

I was using DLSS AND FSR 3 Frame Generation in combination, idk if that could cause issues so i guess ill do FSR 3 with FSR 3 generation now and hopefully that helps. Most games dont let you use DLSS with FSR frame generation so maybe there is a reason for that lol

I had the same issue and solved it this way.

There is also a way to turn off the launcher from the in game settings under "Game" at the bottom, i believe.

The issue here is that fs3 with frame gen on is causing the freezes. Let fs3 turned on but turn off Frame Generation. I had the same issue and since I turned it off my game runs better than many other games

Thank you for this post, I was having this exact issue and I turned off the FSR3 setting and it immediately fixed the problem.

YES people this is one problem I had too... doing this will fix it if you have fsr3{frame Generation} on at launch ... wait til you are in game and if you want turn it on then. Just remember to either turn it off when you are done or go into the setting before you launch the game until get have a fix.

Same here. Playing on the Steam Deck.

Edit: FS3 disabled all the way, so frame gen was not an option here

I feel really stupid, but how and where do you enable/disable frame generation? I can’t find the setting anywhere. I can’t seem to find it on Google either.
