I'm not getting full 21:9 support
I'm getting thin black bars on the left and right side of the monitor in gameplay and cutscenes. The black bars are about 1cm in thickness on a 3440x1440 34" monitor.

I'm including an imgur link to 2 pictures as an example. https://imgur.com/a/SWkHxEC

As a sidenote, I would love an option to disable the regular black borders on cutscenes as well.

I'm curious to hear if this is isolated to me or if I'm just the first one to notice.

Yeah same here at this resolution - the auto aspect ratio setting just stretches the image horizontally to fill the side bars, it's quite off-putting.

Some cut scenes that hide loading are pre-rendered and show as pillarboxed and letterboxed, again quite jarring. I too would like to see a less aggressive borders when playing in UW.

Ugh not this again. Hate it when they mess this up. Hopefully Sucker Punch fixes it.

Oh lol I didn't even think to change the aspect ratio to auto, I just set it to 21:9 manually to make sure it was set correctly but actually for me it fixed itself when I set it to auto. It doesn't stretch for me like it seems to do for you.

Problem is that even with aspect ratio set to auto and even without black bars at sides, game look little bit stretched. I don't know how to explain but it doesn't look right and doesn't look like natural 21:9 game.
It's not FOV because -/+ still have that weird look.

Yeah I just noticed this and yeah it's disappointing that you either have to live with tiny black bars or slightly stretched image. It's the sort of thing which you can't unsee after seeing it once.

The black bars are kinda fine on an OLED but still annoying.

I'm guessing this is because it literaly uses 21:9 ratio instead of 21.5:9/43/18 which is the actual ratio of 3440x1440 and most ultrawides.

Here's like a worst case scenario but if you put a tree close to the camera like this you can easily spot the stretching. But it also adds some more clouds on the edge so it's kinda working correctly.

For science I looked at 16:9 as well where the tree has the exact same width as 21:9.
