Low FPS after Alt Tabing back.

Anyone else having the problem that after you alt tab back into the game it only runs on 15-30 fps. Before I Alt tab out its easily 60FPS+.

Yeah I seem to be having this problem as well. I noticed my fps is kinda cut in half.

I seem to have found my problem. Wallpaper Engine cuts my fps. I ended up pausing it and it fixed the problem.

no wallpaper engine for me, and same problem, also after the more i play the less fps i have, pretty annoying, i need to reset my game after 30 minutes all the time...

This same thing is happening with my RTX 3070 ti card. High settings, at 1080p, 60 refresh rate. After a hour or two my frame rate just dips into the 20's or so and stays there. Restarting the game also fixes it for me. Not running a wallpaper engine either.

No wallpaper engine here too. Yesterday and today earlier somehow it fixed itself, but now it started it again. If someone founds a fix please post it.

Im also having this issue with a 3070 someone has said its that the LOD setting isnt applying right and changing it back and forth to your original setting should fix whilst being in game havent tried it yet but worth a shot

I have the same problem. Easy 60+ FPS while playing. One alt tab and its half the fps and must restart the game. It is very annyoing.

I have a 3080 playing in 4K 60fps on ultra. It runs perfect until you alt tab then goes to sh*t instantly, as well as after playing for a while. There's a memory leak. Gotta be.

To start, try to disable any application that interacts with the game, such as RivaTuner and other overlays (Discord, FPS monitors etc).

If using RivaTuner never have it set to enabled globaly as it can cause issues with a variety of applications, such as OBS, where the stream will look like its choppy even when set to 60FPS even if there is no loss of frames,

Set RivaTuner to the exe of the game you want and then limit the FPS, however you should be doing it with NVIDIA control panel FPS limit feature instead, or AMD equivalent.

It can also be an issue related to DPI, so if you are using the DPI option go to the game exe and try to set it to application controlled.

Just don't alt tab then. Allow yourself to play the game and not be constantly distracted

It was the discord overlay for me. Disabled it and immediately fixed the issue.
