(SOLVED) SONY PSN Connection Error
SUBJECT: Error logging in to Playstation Network
Error code: Unable to connect to server. 18.5ec816c3.1715879860.16906f9a
Platform: Steam on Windows 10. 22H2

Hi, it sounded too good to be true. I would like to point out that I too am experiencing the problem referred to in the main topic.
I just installed the game on Steam and it runs on Windows 10 22H2 PC platform with all system updates, updated software libraries, including drivers. On the software and hardware side I have no problems.

I continually encounter an error when logging in to the PS Network account using the browser integrated into the client, I tried to follow the advice already mentioned in the discussion but there was nothing to be done. Externally to the client I can reach the PSN services without problems both from the browser and from the console (login without errors), I have never had such problems, everything responds correctly at the network level.

Thanks in advance for anyone who wants to take the time to answer me.

I Have an easier solution.
The problem is caused by a combination of Ghost of Tsushima using EDGE as the browser to log in to PSN and EDGE's default security setting.

I was getting just a white screen when trying to connect to PSN from within the game. Once I got the log in page to appear it still wouldn't work - error kept saying that the server timed out.
I looked at the dev console for the login screen and could see an error related to the CORS security policy.

Easy fix.

Run EDGE (doesn't matter if Ghost of Tsushima is running or not).
Enter this in the address box: edge://flags/#block-insecure-private-network-requests
DISABLE the highlighted option
Restart EDGE
Now sign in to PSN from within Ghost of Tsushima

Worked first time for me.

I hope this helps some of you.
I had the same problem. I got the address of the browser that appears in the game (right click and copy I think or inspection), and I put this same address in my browser (firefox) while leaving the game running, then I followed the instructions.

I went back into the game and tried again, then restarted the game and insisted a bit and it finally worked after 5 minutes.

This is just my personal experience, maybe I got lucky, maybe it's worth a try for you.

I would like to update you on the problem referred to in the topic to inform you that I managed to verify the problem and will resolve it.

In this regard, I would like to thank some guys who responded in a targeted and timely manner to my report, giving me important useful suggestions.

Before going further, it is important to clarify that for each anomaly it can have different causes, therefore each error code during the connection
to PSN services is not the same, so I explain the problem resolution procedure based on my error code encountered.

Let's avoid confusion, it's useless.

Source error code: Error code: Unable to connect to server.
Error: 18.5ec816c3.1715879860.16906f9a

After verifying the interaction of the Browser with the client, I carried out several tests, changing the browser in the default browser settings
to exclude any type of anomaly due to the browser, in my case it didn't work.
Despite the policy change regarding the default browser, the game continued to use the Edge browser

The procedure is valid for those like me who encounter the problem for the first time, when connecting to PSN for the first time. It doesn't necessarily depend on the game primarily.

1) Check which browser the game is using to access PSN
2) Close the game client
3) Close Steam
4) Complete computer reboot
5) When restarting, open the default browser that you have verified is used by the game, if you can set one at your discretion and that you don't use regularly it would be more appropriate.

6) Disable all third-party extensions and modules installed on the browser, including Ad Blocker and all similar extensions that act
on browsing pages at http level.

7) In my case the game uses Edge (replicate the procedure exactly because this is the only way it worked):
7.1 I opened the Browser settings
7.2 You need to open the tab in the sidebar "Privacy, search and services"
7.3 Enable the "Protection from detection" flag which you find immediately at the top of the page, it is practically the first section
7.4 As a criterion, select the "Basic" box

8) At the end of the operations, perform a complete cleaning of the browsing data and browser cache, using the command bar or in the path: Settings --> Privacy, search and services ---> Clear browsing data now. Select the "Choose what to delete" button,
in the dialog box select all options except Passwords, perform the cleaning by selecting the "Clear now" button

9) Close the Browser

10) Start Steam and Ghost of Tsushima again, log in normally from the main menu of the game title, selecting on the entry to access the Playstation Network service

11) Once the browser redirect window opens, enter your PSN account credentials and access the services.

12) Then you will have to select the option in the main menu "Log in to Playstation Network" again to confirm authentication and log in with your account

13) Accept the request to connect your Steam account to your PSN account and you're done

In my case the procedure was 100% successful, before exposing it in the topic I tried to restart the game several times and the PSN service was always connected with automatic access

I am convinced that it partly depends on the interaction function with the external browser. It's not a problem that depends exclusively on the game, since I checked the status of the PSN online services at the first anomaly and they worked without problems

Waiting for answers from the developers and the official team, this is my solution.

Edit:
As a security setting for my PSN account I turned on (2FA) 2-Factor Authentication, and it worked flawlessly for logging in to PSN.

Thank you all.

How can you check which browser the game is using to access PSN????
My fix: making Chrome default browser (was Edge), reboot, link.

Before playing the campaign, it was my intention to connect first to the PSN services since it is logically connected to Sony's Online Service

nonon, you have to pay for the ps, to be able to play online, forget if you don't pay for the ps+, like on the console, so I don't buy it yo, it's low
Its not true i just played on playstation with my friend on pc and he didnt buy ps plus
