This game requires a CPU that supports F16C instructions
Can't play the game. First time I ever experienced this with any game. Super dissappointed :(

AVX and F16C support is required for this game. Most CPUs up from 2012 are supported.

It's a 11 yrs old CPU. I'm astonished that it still works :-)
I think it's time to upgrade your PC. I've read F16C issue addresses to another Sony game:
Horizon Zero Dawn - Forbidden West.
And I'm not sure about God of War

That cpu is a relict. Time to upgrade!
Mine's working fine with i9-14900KS.

Mine is working great. I5-7600k and RTX2070 3440x1440. Mostly very high settings.

Stop using 15 year old processors

Work fine on mini pc with cpu 7940hs

There’s literally only one other game making use of these instructions which is Horizon.

I can run games like Cyberpunk, Red Dead Redemption 2 etc. with no issues. Just silly really, especially when this game was marketed as being playable on many different setups.

Excuse you? Marketing on many different setups, where did you pull that from? There are minimum requirements and since you still haven't posted your CPU i'm going to assume it's a CPU that is at least 10 years old. Devs can work on other stuff improving the game instead of trying to fix an issue what is not an issue but clearly a user defect.

You really should not expect 10+ years old CPUs to play modern games. Even a cheap modern CPU would be better - and, you know, actually work.

You can buy better CPU for less money than this game. You obviously got your priorities wrong if you can't afford a new CPU after 15 years but you do keep still buying the newest games.
