Playing with a wired PS5 controller, but Adaptive Triggers do not work?
My PS5 controller is recognized by the game, and there are options to set the strength of the trigger feedback (currently set to strong) but i cleared the prologue and have yet to have the adaptive triggers activate.

Is there an extra setting i must enable/disable in steam itself?

Have you gotten the bow and arrow yet, I think that is the only thing it's used for in this game, don't quote me on that, it's been a while since I've played the game on PS5, so I don't fully remember.

You also need to have the PS5 controller plugged in via usb-c. Also might have to right click on game, properties, controller, disable steam input.

i think i know what the problem is, you need to have the PS5 controller unmuted in your audio settings (Windows), as soon as i did that it immediatly had haptic feedback active, something it didn't have before (currently trying to unlock the bow to see if the triggers work).

but that presents a new problem, all audio now comes through the PS5 controller, and no longer through my headphones, and no matter how much i switch my primary audio device, it does nothing and the ingame option is still grayed out.

I had haptic start to work after I disabled steam input. But I have had no luck changing the game sound from controller to actual speakers, which is rather annoying. This was happening before and after disabling steam input for controller.

Edit. Nevermind. I'm an idiot. It just defaults to controller for audio.. can just change that in normal settings on pc... silly me.

i didn't have to disable steam input for it to work.

but yeah, as soon as i launch the game, every single bit of audio is redirected through the PS5 controller, and it persists even after closing the game.

did some googling, and Returnal had the same issue, but i have yet to see a solution to this problem.

I am also having this problem, but I am sure it will be addressed.

Have you used the Dualsense Updater from Sony? You might be behind in drivers.

it's a brand new controller that i got with my PS5 slim last week, it got the latest firmware updates.

but i just noticed that when i disabled the controller audio in windows, launched the game and then re-enabled the controller audio in the windows settings, the controller didn't hijack the sound, and i now have audio through my headset and working haptic feedback (this was immediatly noticable after walking a bit before and after re-enabling the sound settings in windows).

A potential fix could be using one of the DS4Windows emulators. They from what I understand work with Dualsense.

Make sure you're not running anything like DSX or DS4Windows. After I shut down DSX, everything is working. Including controller audio, haptics, sprinting, etc.

Even with deleting DSX, I still can't seem to get mine working :/ I'm at a loss as what to do

When you plug in/turn on does Steam recognize it?

You may potentially have hideHID still installed and/or turned on, so it will hide your controller and make it inoperable w/o DS4Windows/DSX

This is really the thread. For whatever reason there isn't good native support via bluetooth for a lot of these dualsense games but plugging it in and everything works as its supposed to. Literally every game that supports it that I've played you have to hardwire for.

I run all my Dualsense on BT on PC. There is no issue. Make sure you always have your Dualsense drivers fully update with the Sony Update Tool. The only time my DS is plugged in is to charge it.

I am however, not using the Mobo BT adapter, I bought a premium Asus BT Dongle.
