use an exclusive screen, where you choose "windowed", full-screen", etc.

Nvidia control panel > 3D settings > Max frame per second > Activate and select your target fps.

Don't know for AMD, sorry.

For AMD you can use "Radeon chill" to set framerate caps in the adrenalin software. But activating this option will disable the other options afmf for frame generating and Radeon anti lag.

You dont need to use AFMF or Anti lag for this game, the game runs perfect. I suggest using Radeon Chill because its a fantastic feature that Nvidia doesn't even have. It's not a frame cap, its a beautiful feature that lets your GPU relax at minimum frame rate during dialogue or stand by moments, resulting in power saving and no noise. For Ghost of Tsushima it can be set like minimum 70 fps and highest 100 fps. This range will result in a smooth experience while having the PC itself barely being used

Rivatuner not Nvidia control panel (even though it should work) but Rivatuner will smoothen out your framerate aslong as you are able to maintain 60 fps 100% of the time. This is the best way to cap it for you at all times, 60 fps at loading screens/gameplay/everywhere

Put your monitors refresh rate to 60 in Windows Settings?

if you do that you will have to enable V-Sync in game as well.

a lot of people use RTSS for capping framerate tho, it also can improve framepacing as well.

When using Nvidia FPS Limit (NVCP).
I get absurd variations in Frametime, even maintaining a constant 60 fps I feel that slowness when I turn the camera sometimes.
The RTSS limited to 60 makes the frametime seem much smoother and more stable, but at the cost of increasing the clock to 2800.
The panel nvidia is around 1300-2000 from what I saw, but it's rubbish.

I use Gsync/AdaptativeSync.
Have you also experienced this slowdown/stutters problem when using Nvidia's fps limit?

My configuration is
RTX 4070 Super MSI Gaming Slim
Ryzen7 5700x3d
32GB Ram 3200MHz
Source 750w Full modular Gold.
MSI B550m MORTAR.

RTSS and MSI Afterburner does work for limiting fps.
