It is made even worse by the fact that the english voice for jin sakai speaks in a calm voice, so his face is always relaxed when he talks. The japanese version has him speaking like some badass samurai but his face moves even less than on the english version.
Basically the japanese voice actors express way more emotions than the english ones (which fits everyone besides jin) but the facial animations display way less emotions due to the (probably) ai generated japanese facial animations.
For example near the start, when the woman with jin is happy to learn about the position of the person they're searching for, she sounds excited which is subtly displayed in the english facial animations, but this is completely gone in the japanese version (less upper face movement) while the voice actor is even more excited than the english one.
