FIXED MINE, see below:

I was having the same issue, no horse hoof beats, dialogue missing most of the time, was acting like there was a missing channel. Headphones worked fine but desk speakers were broken. Tried updating drivers from Mobo site, still broken.

My fix was going into windows sound settings and disabling audio enhancements AND turning on spatial sound for that particular device.

Hopefully I am not the only one that this worked for.

I had a problem with sound disappearing or conversations cutting off etc. The problem in my case was the audio settings, their default state is home theater for some reason. After changing it to speakers it works with no problem.

Cutscene Volume to zero fixed any issues i had. I'm not sure what you are missing without it. Music, voices, sounds, everything still there or i should better say there again.

Hey guys just an update from me, I was also suffering this issue after updating to newest nvidia drivers, in all games and hulu oddly enough. So I have a 2.1 audio system and when nvidia updated my driver the system audio was put to 5.1 setting it back to stereo 2.0 fixed the bug for me. Good luck

Solution : Disable everything else from sound settings and leave only the device you are using enabled. In my case the headphones.

My audio issue is I can hear the in game music but while fighting the audio of grunts and fighting is completely silent and only the background music plays. please lmk if someone knows the fix to this.

The issue for me was installing on my external wd black drive. I use that drive for most of my games but installing on there gave me issues with missing audio. For me audio works when installed on either an internal SSD or HDD.

i have this issue but using only 1 monitor, never did at least on this pc that im using to play.

My audio worked fine until after the main quest. I found quitting to title and coming back was the only way to fix it.

Seems like it's different for everyone.
I use a 7.1 receiver setup and what helped for me was to change the speaker settings in the game menu from "Home Theater" to something Bookshelf something. Can't remember.

20+ hours of playing and I'm still facing often the same problem. I can't hear any in game sounds or dialogue except of the music. Pretty annoying bug for such a good game . Pitty

nvidia -> драйверы -> переустановить драйвер -> выборочная установка -> поставить галочку ТОЛЬКО на пункт с "аудио драйвер" -> продолжить -> после этого удалится аудио драйвер и нужно будет опять переустановить дрова, но уже с экспресс установкой -> перезагрузить пк
