So basically I just wanted to share my solution for fixing the game crashing right after the Nixxes logo appeared which will hopefully help others.

I'm running a pretty new system with a 14900k which is undervolted but the game kept crashing. So I tired the first common things like running as admin (which gave me bluescreen every single time I tried to run as admin) and compability things.

What helped me:

1. Right click on the GhostOfTsushima.exe
2. Then go to properties
3. Go to the compability tab
4. Check "Run program in compability mode (Win8)".

This was the only solution that helped me finally running the game and after 30 minutes of playing on max settings on a 5120x1440 resolution, I didn't have any problems at all.

What I also figured out is within the GhostOfTsushima.exe, "disabling Fullscreen optimization" would also fix the game crash for me!

Can confirm, changing compatibility to Win8 mode stopped all the crashing

Placebo crap. Why would Windows 8 compatibility mode do anything. Explain why I havnt had 1 crash without doing this.
