AVX and F16C support is required for this game. Most CPUs up from 2012 are supported.
You can find all the details on system requirements here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/2215430/discussions/0/7093810350790030876/#c4336481387154088617
I'm trying to run the game on an i7-3770K and getting a crash related to an "illegal instruction" (reading de minidump). My CPU supports AVX and f16c, if the game needs AVX2 or AVX-512, it simply needs to state it in the store page.
There are currently just a few very recent games that need AVX2 Support (and Uncharted removed it). Few here means something like 2 games in total out of the entire steam current library, but I have no problem with that, the problem is about not communicating properly something that is SO uncommon.
When you look at min CPU and recommended, it has always been about mostly the raw performance. I'm used to buy games that way, loads of games, and I can't assume something different will happen when is not clearly stated.
I have been gaming since de MSX era, so I remember even when some MS-DOS games needed some special instructions or memory settings, but the instructions where ALWAYS clear in the requirements when they were so exceptional.
Nixxes_Community you can't just communicate something like that the day before release in a lost thread in a steam hub. It has to be added to the store page CLEARLY. Is worse when there are preorder incentives.
I don't even really know right now if the crash on startup error I get is because of this or not 'cause I get no error message.
Maybe modders will launch a patch to bypass this requirement, like they did with Horizon.
SOLVED IT!
The problem is within the app called PsPcSdkRuntimeInstaller
All you need to do is going into windows - uninstall apps - Playstation PC SDK - Delete...
GAME RUNNING!
Not working :/
What CPU are u using?
"Bu...bu..but I have an i7 and the minimum is an i3!"
Yeah... except your i7 is now TEN GENERATIONS removed... This isn't rocket science.
