No, gonna go through my first ever play-through normally, with English VO. Will most likely do a second run in Kurosawa and with Japanese VO.

I played through twice on PS5. First time normally, second time on Kurosawa mode. Just a personal preference, but I think it works better that way.

The Samurai Cinema feel makes replaying the game feel not repetitive. In addition, some combat elements and a lot of interaction with the world are a bit annoying without the color cues in normal mode (particularly any time you have to find something). That frustration is lessened if you've already done it once.

Ah, then still no. I didnt go B&W in LA Noire or the washed out colors in AC Mirage, keeping the regular colors. But understand why devs put in things like these.

just looked at a 5 min game play of "Kurosawa mode" an i can firmly say that its just not for me although i can see how it would appeal to some.

Im a massive Kurosawa movie fan. So that part of it is what appeals to me. Immersing myself in one of his great films would be a serious thrill. Still, the colors and graphics of this game are pretty and Im not sure I want to miss that.

I love my retro JRPGs with their dated visuals and stuff. Doesn't bother me. But black & white for dozens of hours? Not for me.
