PSA: Get a PS5 controller for this game

I played this on PS5, and I am a gamer; I could care less about Sony vs Microsoft or consoles vs. PC gaming. I just like to have fun. That said, I have an Xbox controller I use for some PC games, but I probably will buy this and use a PS5 controller. Microsoft dropped the ball on this iteration of their controller, whereas the PS5 has immersive features that developers can link to. Light shifts, haptic trigger feedback, a touch-sense screen.

This game uses all of those features in an amazing way, and it draws you even more into what is already an incredible journey. This is just my .02, and again, I am no fanboy. I am just a gamer sharing thoughts with fellow gamers.

You can turn off vibration tho ^^ the game will still play far better with a controller.

If you don't mind it being wired connection (see store page) and don't mind buying an extra controller when your existing controller is perfectly fine.

I dislike using controllers. I used it for soulslike games, like Dark Souls and Elden Ring, but that's about it. I don't think GoT is a soulslike game. I will adapt to using KBM, but if it's that bad, then I'll switch to PS5 Controller

The controls are more or less like Elden Ring, with added features like haptic triggers using ranged weapons.
It's up to you how you want to play, but maneuverability is far superior on a controller in terms of sneaking, crossing corner, riding the horse like most of these games made for a controller.

Agreed. I have DualSense Edge controller and it's strongly recommended to play with a controller, compared to Mouse & Keyboard.

The price is probably a mitigating factor for a lot of people, but I agree that Dualsense is unparalleled. I played Jedi Survivor and HFW with adaptive triggers and haptic feedback and it really feels very next gen. I imagine it's gonna be the same way for this game too

If a game allows the player to control the camera, there is no amount of vibration that could get me to ditch my mouse. Hell no.
