The Japanese voice acting is just on a completely different level of good
no offense to the English voice actors, but they don't come close to the quality of the JP ones. The guy who voiced Kenji alone did such a fantastic job.
I personally felt that the EN voice acting was a bit soulless, while the JP ones gave their 1000%.

i chose japanese voices without first checking a comparison on yt and i don't regret it, they're wonderful. lip syncing is a bit dodgy, it's obviously english. not a big deal though

I disagree on the English voice actors being a bit soulless I feel they have a lot of moments where they put a lot of emotion into their dialogue but I will say the Japanese voice actors are definitely amazing also Jin's voice actor is Zoro from One Piece so that's a plus lol

Have you played Sekiro? The English voice in that game is pretty aweful. Don't get me wrong. I love Sekiro as I have spent over 3,300 hrs in that game. But all in Japanese. Ghost of Tsushima, however, I find the English voices are much much better by comparison.
To be fair, I will play Ghost again in Japanese before I come to a final conclusion. But at this moment, I was disappointed with the total lack of lip sync in most of the animation, including some of the cutscenes.
this goes for anything jp. english is just more calm. can't blame it on the voice actors, it would be cringe to put as much enthusiasm in english as much as the Japanese do.
