About Iki and the DLC.
I am part way through act 3 and I am about to attack some of the Khan's ships during a gathering storm, and wondered about the Iki dlc. I have 3 mystical tales yet to complete including the one where you get the long bow (I haven't found the guy with the mission yet for that one) and 2 that are on Iki.

The game feels like it's getting to end game by my intuition, so should I save that DLC until my NG+ cycle or do it now? Many thanks. If you could help without spoilers that would be awesome, thanks.

The general consensus on the net (Reddit, Youtube, and gaming sites) seem to be that most waited to finish the main game before moving to Iki Island. Of course most console players who got the game when it first came out on the PS4 had no choice.

However, For my 2nd play-through on the PC, I did Iki right in the middle of Act II when it became possible to go there. I had no issues and more importantly, it allowed me to snag what many consider to be the best armor in the game--the Sarugami Armor.

You should try to have the longbow before you go and it's easily obtained in act II and actually as early as Act I. You do have to complete a couple of minor quests in act I and then find an NPC Musician at Hiyoshi Springs. He's giving a performance next to a house by and just above the Hot Springs Bath House. Go to the left of the Bath house and once just past take the circular path that goes up and to the left.

Cheers

Thanks Fobs.

I managed to miss the long bow missions somehow while I was wandering about doing side missions. Which surprised me considering how I have played.

I think I will leave it (Iki) until NG+ then. I don't think I can get what I need for the long bow without a bit of save scumming due to being on the mission I mentioned.

Thanks again. I appreciate it.

i wouldnt leave the iki island for a NG+, you get some good op charms that you can combo with the NG+ Charms and the horse saddle+armour are pretty strong too and some other stuff that will make your NG+ really fun, also NG+ looks like it's infinite (not sure about that) so you can do NG+ as many times as you want
i finished the game once and went to iki (on a pirated version) now i am playing again doing the same because i think it fits more the story of the game, hopefully i dint spoil anything that you dint know of
:steamthis: nothing spoilt, don't worry! I will likely do an NG+ cycle straight after finishing the game.

General update: I went wandering and looking for Hiyoshi Springs, forgetting it was a town and thinking it was hot spring somewhere in the prefecture. Thats an hour I wont get back! :steamfacepalm: :WH3_greasus_rofl:Anyway, I eventually found the musician I required and did their mission, popped the achievement for that and I now have the longbow. The irony being is I remember missing the "?" which is the person I required.

My plan is to do Iki next. I am clearing up shrines and other similar things while I travel around. I have a few areas to liberate between the islands, too. But Iki is now on my radar as my next place to visit before I head towards the end game.
