However, For my 2nd play-through on the PC, I did Iki right in the middle of Act II when it became possible to go there. I had no issues and more importantly, it allowed me to snag what many consider to be the best armor in the game--the Sarugami Armor.
You should try to have the longbow before you go and it's easily obtained in act II and actually as early as Act I. You do have to complete a couple of minor quests in act I and then find an NPC Musician at Hiyoshi Springs. He's giving a performance next to a house by and just above the Hot Springs Bath House. Go to the left of the Bath house and once just past take the circular path that goes up and to the left.
Cheers
I managed to miss the long bow missions somehow while I was wandering about doing side missions. Which surprised me considering how I have played.
I think I will leave it (Iki) until NG+ then. I don't think I can get what I need for the long bow without a bit of save scumming due to being on the mission I mentioned.
Thanks again. I appreciate it.
i finished the game once and went to iki (on a pirated version) now i am playing again doing the same because i think it fits more the story of the game, hopefully i dint spoil anything that you dint know of
General update: I went wandering and looking for Hiyoshi Springs, forgetting it was a town and thinking it was hot spring somewhere in the prefecture. Thats an hour I wont get back!
My plan is to do Iki next. I am clearing up shrines and other similar things while I travel around. I have a few areas to liberate between the islands, too. But Iki is now on my radar as my next place to visit before I head towards the end game.
