I Bought This Game Instead of AC Shadows
12 hours in and I really like this game a lot.

I had an itch for a Japanese based Samurai game after AC Shadows lunched but I refused to buy that game for several reasons.

1) I felt like even having it an option to sleep with what Japanese people revere as a loyal married woman whose posterity is still alive was very rude.

2) I hate the micro transactions Ubi did in a single player game.

I'm not saying people are bad for playing it or that even Ubisoft is bad. I just thought it was rude to Japanese culture so I wanted to play a game more respectful.

I find this game to be a ton of fun. Great gameplay, nice story so far, and the extras like making Haikus is a lot of fun without being tedious like the "meditate" in AC.

Hell yeah brother. Same here. AC Shadows did draw some interest from me, but once I saw gameplay videos and reviews I could tell it was just the same old Ubislop garbage. Picked up Ghost of Tsushima and really enjoying it so far. 4 hours in. Combat is brutally challenging playing on lethal difficulty. My budget PC can run it on low-medium settings at a decent 60fps and it still looks pretty good graphics wise. Love the colorful world and atmosphere.
Story seems a bit straightforward but it does enough to make me care.
i wasnt expecting too much of this game, bought it right away when i heard it works perfect on steam deck and my god its easily top 3 best games i ever played
already put 50 hours in just a week, cant stop playing
I earn AC Shadows with the Intel offer, looked the news before the release... and bought G.O.T. Thanks to Ubisoft for introducing me to this awesome game (Ghost of Tsushima).

Compared to A.C. Shadow, Ghost is a pretty simplistic game. And No, I don't care too much about insulting Japanese culture. Probably mostly white guys being insulted for "Not their culture anyway". :-) :-) :-)
The design of this game is so solid, nothings really to hard, unless you want it to be, and the games loop can be quite relaxing.

I really hope the sequel sticks with the heavily stylized look this game has, no cluttered landscapes & markers.

Only the weakest of us white guys would play that card talking about respecting culture in a video game that is not real life. And as for you making that assumption, tickle the left one!
