This game doesn't feature european white people, so I'd say it's pretty woke

Ethnics match historical period, select female characters fighting (I think 2), lots of nationalism, appeal to tradition. tradition vs. innovation is a central theme in the game and a struggle for the main character. homosexuality I did not notice in 30h, so not in the main story so far. lots of grief, death, horror of war and pain.

Fortunately not. The second part ("Ghost Of Yotei", some also call it "Ghost Of Tsushima 2" or "Ghost Of Wokei") is woke and should not be bought :)

Nothing overt. There is only one character I'm aware of that is gay and its not in a committed sense. More of a secret love affair/indental experimentation & comfort through hard times. It was actually very tastefully done. Felt natural and not done for attention.
