AMD Crashes Since Patch
I have an AMD RX 7900 XT that ran absolutely flawlessly for 65 glorious hours and then the June 13th patch hit and now I cant play more than 15 minutes at best, a minute at worst, without it crashing. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Give it some time since AMD only accounts for 10% market share and even fewer have a 7900XT it may be a few hours before someone with a7900 XT or AMD graphics card comes along

Dont tab out the game, try windowed fullscreen, turn off vsync / other visual settings.

I have Ryzen 7 and 7600. There are double handfuls of old and new games that i have to tinker with to get to work. Have you tried dxvk 231. It works on some games. Messing around with drivers all the time is a pain.

P. S. Dont listen to the troll bots it is def software issue!

Almost the same here, I've had issues since launch but it was at least playable. The most recent patch has made the game unplayable with constant hitching and occasional crashing on my 6800 XT.

Might have to look into that. I wouldnt know how to go about it though. I just got the newest update (amdfsr3) and the game WILL NOT drop back down to 60fps unless I hard lock it in the gpu and then it looks weird and tears alot.

Try with nvidia gpu if not crashing then AMD is the issue and you should ask them for hotfix
Yeah let me just go grab my Nvidia I just have lying around that I'm choosing not to use in favor of this garbage amd card....😒

Before amd's newest update exclusive fullscreen was the only way to keep the fps from flying off the page into the 300's. But now nothing aside from a hard 60fps lock in the gpu will keep it from going overboard, and that makes it look like crap with artifacting and tearing.

And for me turning off vsync in game in anything, including this, causes constant tearing so its kind of a necessity unfortunately.

I reverted back to 24.5.1 drivers from 24.6.1, I was getting lots of issues in games with them. If you're on 24.6.1 try reverting. Sadly though since this patch on GoT frame gen is very stuttery, I'd be able to max at 170 fps with 120 fps base with it on before but I have to use upscaling now. All I can recommend is to revert drivers if you're on 24.6.1 or else Idk sorry.

partly the issue is due to the fsr 3.1 patch. its been quite buggy for all of the games it was added to, mainly frame gen which also caused other bugs. happens on Nvidia and AMD, so it's likely a game issue. memory leak also isnt fixed

See? It's totally AMD issue itself.

Edit: My game just crashed, next time I will not make anymore mistakes and buy something from AMD. My 2 best cores just crashed.

The issue on Ghost of Tsushima is happening for lots of people, the patch they did is buggy. I know you're probably rage baiting but if not I can help you identify your issue, its possible your CPU is faulty (if its recently purchased thats most likely). Or if youre doing an undervolt stop it.

Instead of providing useless info to this guy (no one cares if you think Nvidia is better or AMD is worse)

Yes AMD drivers are problematic. The game was working before it updated. The AMD driver remained the same. What came first, the chicken or the egg?

I honestly dont know where the fault lies. Might be multiple things because after a seamless 65hrs on 24.6.1(or which ever one came out the day before Tsushima dropped on pc) the game began to stutter after the June 13th Nixxes patch. But it was after I messed with some fan settings because it started to overheat (96c hotspot)(full transparency: it was overheating because somehow the res got switched from 3200p to 4200p) that it started to crash. It actually crashed for the first time when I tried to open another game, stating there was a failure somewhere and that the fan settings had been reset.
But after that the whole pc just kept crashing whenever playing Tsushima. It would freeze up and I'd have to restart it. Only one night actually did it decide to just crash the game and give me the GPU message everyone's been getting. After that it went to freeze crashing again with aftershock crashes that will usually try to tell me to go into recovery mode or try again.
Other games run ok though, like Spiderman, tho thats been spiking around 96c hotspot too when faces are on screen. And MK1 tends to crash but that game has always had issues. Idk, maybe I broke it, maybe its weaker now. Maybe its just the updates and patches. Mk1 did receive a rather broken patch around the same time as Tsushima.
