No pre-order without knowing the system requirements...
I've been really looking forward for this game to come to PC for a long time but I'm not gonna pre-order before I know the official system requirements.

I'm sure I don't have to worry that my PC can handle the game but I find it strange that the system requirements are not yet confirmed so close to release.

In case someone knows more, feel free to let me know.
Thx.

Just guessing, but it's probably a little less than the requirements for Horizon Forbidden West. The latter is a more demanding (and newer) game. GoT was a PS4 game when it came out.

But no, you shouldn't preorder until the system requirements are official, and even then you should probably wait for people's real life experiences if you're in doubt. No point in pre-ordering months in advance anyway.

This game was designed to run on the ps4, despite the pc release being based on the ps5 port(im assuming) and this isn't as technically demanding as forbidden west therefore the system requirements will be similar or even less...but 1060s and 1080ti's can probably also run this fine with some adjusted settings...
Requirements (Minimum)

RAM: 16 GB
VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4GB or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT 4GB

PIXEL SHADER: 6.0
VERTEX SHADER: 6.0
OS: Windows 10 64-bit (version 1909 or higher)
FREE DISK SPACE: 150 GB
Recommended Requirements
CPU: Intel Core i5-8600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600

I'm gonna wait until the official reqs are released but if these are the recommended reqs for Horizon Forbidden West then I shouldn't have to worry to max out GoT :)
Unless of course the optimization is badly done.

If your system is at least on par with a ps4, which isnt exactly hard, then you should be fine. Obviously if you want to run like triple 4k 120fps at ultra settings then your gonna need a beefy system. But i think for the vast majority of people who has built an "average" pc over the past 6-7 years should be fine.

Plus worse comes to worse they already said its gonna have all that dlss/fsr nonsense so youll always have that to fall back on.

Just ask NASA for a spare PC. 🤷‍♂️
It's definitely going to be hardware demanding.

Not preorderig at this point in time makes no sense. You can return the game with no issues if you have any issues with it. Now before STEAM and refunds, sure.
