Consoles are for people who want exclusives or a low cost system. Probably consoles will be replaced once high end phones becomes cheaper than current price of consoles (~6 years from now).
Nintendo is the only company who hasn't released their games to PC legally. Probably because it threats their very existence. If you had options, why someone would choose low tier Nintendo Switch over other better options?
The only reason that Playstation or Xbox, releases their games on PC is because the cost of porting a game pays off within a year or so. After that is profit.
There are no pros or cons, just more games available on Steam.
With the exclusivity, it actually makes less people buy it and wait to see the reviews of the games. You limit the number of already limited players willing to buy the game until they see if the devs ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up.
