Steam cloud save support?

Is it handled through psn? How does it work in steamdeck, if it doesn't have overlay/network support?

Steam cloud isn't on the list of supported steam features so you will likely not have any cloud save features

That is why i asked. How is it going to sync between steamdeck and pc, since steamdeck doesn't have multiplayer and overlay support.

I remember finding out the hard way that Just Cause 3 didn't have cloud saves. I uninstalled everything from my old gaming PC (which I gave to my wifey), got my new one up and running, downloaded Just Cause 3 for fun, and had a very unhappy surprise when it wanted me to start a completely new game.

Not a good time. I wish that I had manually backed up my save beforehand. I'll make sure to do that here. I'd hate to beat it, uninstall it, get a hankering a few years later to do New Game Plus, and discover my folly. :-D

PSN have there own cloud save system, so whether you're on steam deck, ps5, pc or ps5 you can transfer saves over through your psn account. hence why you need to sign into a psn account when playing play station games.

It makes no sense to not have steam cloud support. We will probably have it, just hasn't been added to the list.

you can't sign into PSN on steam deck as it needs Windows apparently

I hope you also backed up userdata folder inside your steam folder, that's where a lot of local saves are from playing steam games.

all the saves for the games I care about are in my Documents folder

It’ll have Steam Cloud support. All of Nixxes recent PS ports do.

I'm pretty sure it will have cloud save given that all the other PS games from Nixes have cloud saves.

UPDATE: Apparently there was either a problem on steam or my pc. I had to restart my pc and when I got back into steam the cloud save for Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR'S CUT started working

get a popup saying steam cloud error when exiting the game
