Will GoT ever be available ever again to delisted countries for not having PSN
im running low on hopium on whether or not GoT will be available. The game is still listed and can be added to Wishlist but having the game refunded for me killed my hype for the game so hard.

All I want is the single player experience of being a badass Samurai in an RPG game and the closest experience I can get to being like the Blue Eye Samurai. I could not care less about the multiplayer experience, i dont even bother with the multiplayer of the games I have right now.

So why is Snoy locking out the game to 100+ countries just because they are too lazy to support PSN in additional countries. Lock me out of multiplayer then until PSN is finally supported I dont care, but dont dangle the game in a pre-order then yank it out just because Snoy doesnt bother to extend PSN support.

Maybe - The could choose to sell an edition without "Legends" bundled with it.

if they make psn available in those regions, maybe

I've not seen this asked - it might have been, and i've missed it - but out of the 177 countries that can't make online PSN accounts, how many of those can make accounts on a PS4/PS5.

Might be conspiratorial, might be a very small number, and i'm probably wrong and it IS that Sony really ARE incredibly dumb, but if it's a significant number, could this possibly be about forcing hardware sales too?

Just a though.

Also, i'm not stalking you M.Spengler, you just seem to be on every thread I reply to lmao.

Only needed for Legends - Singleplayer don´t need an account.
An edition without Legends bundled would be the way.

STALKER ! :D

I see it like this: Sony has no interest in offering the service in these countries and placing server nodes nearby.
So if Sony considers these countries to be "unprofitable", this company doesn't care about possible sales either.

Sony and Sucker Punch have so far refused to comment on this whole debacle.

I would for them to just answer this question. Do they have plans to make the game available again everywhere or not?

Damn, caught... Cheese it!! lol

Back on topic (for once!) i'm just talking about the countries where this service is already available, but only via console, not countries that are 100% restricted - i'm not sure what the numbers are. If they're low, i'm obviously completely wrong, but if it's significant, it's possible they want to boost console sales, although it's unclear how many utter dingbats are out there who'd shell out for a console to make an account to play a game on PC... Probably a few though...

They´ve stated that PSN is NOT required for singleplayer.
Nobody listened and persisted on false claims of a mandatory account requirement in general.
Why should the publisher or developer give another statement ?

Maybe, just maybe, they are looking for a solution like a second edition without legends bundled.

It's just greed. They're fine with selling consoles, games and peripherals for those consoles in countries unsupported by PSN. But they're not willing to officially go through with paying any costs for setting up the network in those regions. So their support advises people from places like the Balkans (me) and the Baltics to create accounts using supported regions in the country selection menu at signup.

The only reason this region lock happened is because a bunch of people (most of which live in supported regions btw) made a whole deal about having to create a PSN account for HD2. Which I understand to a point, but it really screwed those of us actually living in unsupported regions. Because now Sony is enforcing their TOS.

Have you ever thought that these decisions Sony made are based purely on business decisions and that they don't see a market there, especially that you also have to do abide the local laws, pay taxes, provide staff etc. All that for a bunch of potential customers who would not be able to carry the investments and make the offering financially viable?

I do not care. They're selling consoles in my country. That means there's a market. They should either revise their TOS so that registering from an unsupported region doesn't void it, or bite the cost of expanding PSN to said regions.

I've no sympathy for their margins. Sorry.

Remove the PSN requirements, don't invest in setting everything up there, sell the games to these countries on PC sans Legends Mode. Make a shedload of cash.

Job done. You're welcome.

Yep, I'm from Serbia! Appreciate the support. Hoping for a solution to this sooner rather than later.
