Poor Management of Sony Corporation
"Ghost of Tsushima" is a stunning PS game that had gamers eagerly anticipating its release. I pre-ordered it and eagerly awaited May 16th to start playing. But my excitement turned to disappointment when my pre-order was refunded, leaving me unable to purchase the game.

Firstly, who made the decision to sell the game on Steam without considering the regions it operates in? As much as I love Steam and prefer to buy games there, it's baffling that upper management of Sony overlooked such a crucial detail.
Secondly, if the intention was to sell the game in regions where Steam operates, why wasn't there an effort to expand to new regions before the game's release? My frustration isn't solely because I need a PSN account, it's because I'm unable to create one.
Thirdly, while I understand that some countries may not be as profitable, what about countries like Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan? I'm from Moldova, a country where PS consoles are sold. If you have a console, you can create a PSN account in the Romanian region. However, if you're on PC, you're out of luck. This discrepancy is perplexing. Why not, for example, make Moldova a sub-region of Romania so we can also register? Somehow, it works on consoles, but not on PC.

Indeed poor management.
To bundle Legends with Ghost of Tsushima in the only available Director´s Cut Edition was stupid.
A second edition without Legends bundled would have done the job well.

Yes! I want to see how this will grow, and how Sony will respond to all of this!

Or just make the PSN requirement OPTIONAL for cross-play only. Players around the world can buy and play, Sony sells more copies.
Win-Win!

That is a good idea. There are so many options, and Sony choose the worst

Square Enix won't be making exclusivity deals from now on as with their new business plan. Instead they're making their games available to all platforms from now on. Sony is taking another L.

Isn´t as easy as you may think. Helldivers had peer2peer already in the code since developement. The decision to just pull the plug in unsupported countries implies this as the cheapest and quickest solution.

Ok but what will cost sony to open new regions for psn? I think that it will be the easiest solution. And then, if a game need psn for multiplayer, be my guest and use it. It will be an investment. But what they are doing now, is so ridiculous

So releasing another edition that somehow removes the entire multiplayer is a better option then instead of peer to peer? Would that then reduce the cost of purchase for those specific users then since it's a feature removed from the base game on PC?

Keeping in mind that this is not the original console edition that you've mentioned before numerous times, regardless if it was a free add-on DLC on consoles, this edition also has PC options that were not present in the console edition.

I don't see how that would be any cheaper for them to produce, or as easy as you think it is either.

I think the easiest option for Sony is to open new regions for psn. That will be win win because we can play their games without any problem, and they can expand more
