I havn't had a Xbox live account since the original Xbox and not once in my 25+ years of PC gameing did I ever need Xbox live.
But SONY should have region blocked these two game's even before the preorders happened that's where most of the hate is coming from that they sold in region they weren't supposed to because of the PSN requirement.

I'd put the PC Games available too, but pretty much the same.
1) Is it Microsoft accounts that are blocked or access to XBL? From my understanding all you need is a Microsoft account and technically you already have a Microsoft account? I've had my Microsoft account since the OG Xbox and its still used on my version of Windows today.
2) Does Microsoft deny users from 3rd world countries the ability to purchase and use their single player games if they don't have access to XBL?
You need an Xbox network account. If you don’t have one, you can create one for free."
You're claiming not to need an Xbox Live account on PC for gaming while Sony requires a PSN account.
First, Sony doesn't "require" a PSN account for the single player portion and only does for the multiplayer. Sony even stated the PSN account is no longer required for Helldivers 2, at all: https://twitter.com/PlayStation/status/1787331667616829929 The reason at least some of them were removed has to do with Steam. In fact, Steam has actually been called out by the developer for being the one who has been making some of the independent restrictions regarding Helldriver 2 despite the screenshot of the email (you also showed in the other thread which had this updated note by the owner of the screenshot, too) that contrary to the misleading email Steam is making some of these decisions entirely on their own https://www.eurogamer.net/helldivers-2-was-delisted-by-sony-not-steam-valve-rep-says It hasn't been clarified if the block vs the other removals were decided by Sony or Valve despite Valve's statements being proven to not be entirely (if at all) accurate about this matter.
Second, Microsoft actually had a quite famously hated storefront which was super buggy and had required registration for a lot of PC versions of ported games in the past but it finally died (also taking away some of those games entirely while leaving others partially broken, crippled, or needing workarounds if they existed) after years of extreme backlash over it. This service was required for all versions of the game on PC in many cases, including those sold on Steam (though there were some exceptions at times, too). In fact, that situation was far worse than the one here because it had attached code and created many issues while the PSN situation is mostly legality.
I'm not surprised by the misinformation considering your posts in the other thread though.
Nope. GFWL (Games For Windows Lives, thankfully discontinued finally as it is among one of the most hated major storefronts/account requirements to have been seen), Xbox Live, Game Pass have all had region restrictions.
Further, from Xbox website:
https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/subscriptions-billing/buy-games-apps/region-block#:~:text=If%20you%20move%20to%20a,a%20problem%20making%20a%20purchase.
Anddddd.... I'm done babysitting all the ridiculous misinformation. Between just a handful of threads the sheer amount of misinformation, much of it from the same group of users, is absurd and often appears to be intentional.
"Users from other countries are not officially supported, although it is possible for them to access Xbox network if they provide an address located in a country where Xbox network is officially available."
which is exactly what was happening with PSN until ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ happened.
This is 100% false yet even when you can use a Microsoft account in PC for mail and other stuff, you can't use it for Xbox PC Game Pass and other perks without VPN, even after setting your PC in US or any other supported region.
So yeah, all those territories that doesn't have Xbox support, can only use PC Game Pass with VPN. Both Xbox and Playstation doesn't ban your account created on a supported region within unsupported contries/territories/region unless you do something REALLY bad like hacking, abusing some bug/cheat or being toxic af.
On consoles works without vpn cuz you only need to log in, you can actually log in and use all those stuff but in PC you can't really play or use cloud without VPN.
Some are just here to literally combat and try to argue rather than actually give correct information regarding this game release, it's features, and others that are comparable. Don't tell Mom, the babysitter's dead.
