Unable to buy the game, yet PSN is available in my country
Hey I live in Serbia, and been waiting for this game to come to PC for a while.
But for some reason even tho I have a PlayStation account, based in my country, and I can log in and buy games for PlayStation there (https://www.playstation.com/sr-rs/). Game is no longer available for me to purchase.
Was really looking forward to this game, didn't even know it had multiplayer... Honestly I don't even care for it, all I'm looking forward to was the single-player story campaign.

So to summarize:
- have a PSN account
- PSN available in my country
- still got banned from playing the game

As for the global situation I think this is bad for everybody, not just me. In my case someone forgot to check newest list of PSN available countries, so I can't play the game because of bureaucracy.
But yeah, I don't thing anyone wanted to play Ghost of Tsushima for its MP. Yet here is half of the PC world player-base being denied their right to be a gamer and a customer.

We can't. That's against Steam's rules, and codes can't be activated in unsupported regions anyway.

dunno, i know few ppl who have done it in the past and games worked just fine, though it may be risky i suppose

i guess another option is to... sail the seas since no other viable option is available for some

Then Steam must have screwed up if PSN is actually available in your country then Steam shouldn't have restricted it

Same thing happened with Puerto Rico. We can create a PSN account on a PS5. We can subscribe to PS Plus without using a VPN. Puerto Rico is officially listed. Yet Ghost of Tsushima was delisted and refunds were processed. Make it make sense...

I'm living in Reunion Island (a french state, but remote), people here have PS5 and PSN like in any other states ... but the game is restricted here too ?!? I cannot buy it and, frankly, I don't know why ... I have all PlayStation titles on Steam, so it seeems that for this one, on day one, I will be forced to use other means to play it on my PC ... sad !

Steam did not restrict the game, Sony has full control of this on their Steam control panel. you can check the edits devs does in the steamdb and it changes quite often.

Sony has full control over this and Steam just offer the service as a host to them.
It's like Sony renting a space in a mall to sell, and adding signs like "No (Specific Region) allowed".

Yeah it's really annoying. Sony doesn't seem to care about adding packages so that people in the Balkans can at least activate the game off of verified key sale partners. Like how people who are in the Baltics, Philippines and RU/CIS countries can. We're left out to dry, sadly. Even though Sony sells consoles here, and even has PSN servers in our country (https://status.playstation.com/sr-rs/).

EDIT: I was replying to a post but it disappeared, lmao. I guess we're necroing now.

Not being able to buy and not being able to play are to different things :-)

Sony is prideful and wont use Denuvo, so you can still play them. Wanted to buy their games as well, but they gave us no choice.

Well thankfully Sony didn't give us the option to play Concord either.
See? Sony cares for us not to go woke or broke. :cozybrawlhalla7:

Since we do have a PS store and other online services, it's just a matter of time before we are fully on PSN and have the games available on Steam.
Big companies take small steps, and take them slowly.

It has been 2 decades though and still they wont add a Playstation store to those countries. They just now faced legal issues cause of helldivers and blocked those countries, so maybe they can wait another 2 decades before they can play PSN games on Steam again.

Only hunger for money after Concord and bad financial results overall can accelerate that.
Just apply Lord Gabens tactics. Wait, do nothing, and win

And if they don't come, they don't have to. There's plenty of fish in the sea.
