Those games often come censored in PS with no way to restore them.
Stellar Blade is a recent example.
But despite games like BG3 or CP77 allowing full uncensored nudity, some cleavage on an anime game is too much for them.
Just search "Sony biased censorship" and youll likely find threads about them censoring anime/eastern titles.
Or anime-like ones.
Theres a clear bias going there.
Some countries will see some kind of content as not suitable for all age groups or any age group. They want cash - As much cash they can get, worldwide.
And western localization itself is another problem that rampant, a lot coming from spiteful idiots that dont deserve their jobs when they clearly hate the media they work on.
Cause i wasnt lying, like 5+ people got banned cause they kept harassing me and others on those forums cause we wanted the 140 cm height that the first game had.
Example of this, Tsukihime remake visual novel. In the package, it is accompanied with artbook. Now the game is basically marketed on Nintendo Switch and Sony PS 4 (this game old but just get localized). Now the artbook is basically uncensored in switch version, but sony version is censored. The game is rated M.
This is not only 1 example btw, there are a lot, and lot of them are game from Japan or Asia (Stellar Blade). Even on AAA landscape, they get caught. The prominent example is 1 cutscene on DMC. Other than sony basically no censor, in sony, censored with light. Comparing the cutscene: DMC has nothing vulgar (no sex, no sensitive sexual organ being shown), meanwhile TLOU 2.... well you know.
