UBISOFT, ROCKSTAR GAMES, EA GAMES have Launcher. WHY this hater in PSN?

UBISOFT, ROCKSTAR GAMES, EA GAMES All this company need login in launcher.

Why are players revolting against PSN launcher?
All these haters are ridiculous, but we have to respect the company's decision.

Other companies all have their games, you need to log in, use their launcher, no one has this ridiculous attitude, cursing the company. WHY PROBLEM in psn?

Sony doesn't have a launcher this is getting a overlay if im not mistaken.

The revolt I'm assuming is the locking of playing multi-player due to PSN requirement.

Sony technically does have a launcher. It's called the PS Plus App.

The problem here is how out of touch Sony is, like everyone else in the industry, with the actual consumers.

Because PSN is not available in most of the world and those people can't play or buy said games.

PSN by itself isn't an issue, its availability is.

Well, you cannot just do the "fake" account for a "wrong" country. You will have a ban. Other services are not so unfriendly to the gamers.

That, and Sony is constantly being hacked and they show no signs of being capable of plugging the holes. Not even user data, they're rapidly trying to clamp down Wolverine leaks as well. Add locking out a lot of gamers due to PSN's region ToS to that and you get the current debacle they find themselves in right now.

I can tell you that people have bad experience with EA, Ubisoft and Blizzard.

So them having their own launchers was not always a positive thing.

If nothing else it made PC market seem like a console market, having exclusives.

The one who does it better is GOG because they go for their own older demographic.

Because we're sick and tired of having to download extra crap and then sign up to this extra crap just to play a game. At some point we have to draw the line to all this crap!

What has lead you to believe people love having to make accounts for those launchers so much that what they wanted to do is create yet another account? People hate having to sign into those accounts to play a game on their Steam accounts too.

PSN wasn't the problem selling to non PSN regions was the problem that's the whole thing that made the game region locked and mass forced refunded in multiple platform if they just had the game's region blocked from the start before preorders then none of this would be happening right now.

People hate signing into Steam? Do people also hate having to turn their computer on?

Look at Sony's recently updated terms on their PC games page, it states that games that include multiplayer will be required to have PSN accounts and since this game includes a form of multiplayer it will be impacted by it.

Helldivers 2 was spared this due to massive amounts of public backlash but the store hasn't been updated to state that PSN is no longer required and the game has not been put back for sale in the regions it was removed from, in fact they are removing it from even more countries now.

This is also has to do with a drm overlay launcher on top of Steam, so that they may gather your data in order to boost PSN numbers for shareholder meetings and the fact that this game has been pulled from over a hundred countries due to PSN not being supported there.

Also most importantly, Sony have not had the best history when it has come to data breeches in the past. I was one of the ones impacted by it in 2011, they waited an entire WEEK before even telling us that our data was out there, credit card numbers, date of birth, addresses, etc.

Shameful.

this^^^ we are not going to be forced into creating a PSN account so we can play online multiplayer. EVERYONE knows what the next step will be. Sony will make a Playstation launcher and force us to use that to play their games
